I've hemmed and hawwed over this for a while, and I'd like to get my feet wet with CWs. Would there be any interest in Inuyasha-themed tribute items?
I was thinking of maybe starting with a wig like Kikyou's hairstyle, which I've included a preliminary sketch of below.

It's been so very long since I've watched Inu Yasha haha. Definitely 15+ years I think =P I may be interested in clothing themed wearables from the show personally, depending on what they look like!
Your current WIP is looking pretty nice! I'd really love to see it when you're done? (since you said it was a sketch) Especially depending on what it looks like with eyes too C: (I love the slight color shift you have, so it's not simply just black, but also had a little purple and blue tints here and there! I hope you keep that with the final C: )
I'd be SO interested in Inuyasha tribute CWs! Inu is my 2nd fav anime of all time, right behind Sailor Moon. I only own one Inuyasha CW tribute atm () and I love it to death. _ Would def love if there were more! <3
@Cresenta
I own that item as well. :) I was thinking about starting with hairstyles because they seem to be less restrictive as far as tributes are concerned and I've never done this before. Kikyou, Miroku, Sango, Inuyasha, Human!Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, Inupapa, and Rin were my first ideas. If you're more interested in outfits though, what strikes your fancy? I could do a miko outfit without tribute edits because they're not character-specific (as they're a culture thing). I was also thinking of a village backdrop.
Sorry I only presented a sketch to start with. :p I didn't want to do a whole series of final items if there wasn't even any interest in Inuyasha. xD

It's been so long since I watched Inu Yasha but I do remember my favorite character being Miroku. I'd adore seeing his one armed glove / beads or something like that maybe? I def think Sesshomaru has the best outfit though for tributes. His chest+shoulder spike thing would be very interesting, as well as his belt / sash piece. I don't remember most of the anime at this point if I'm honest oh gosh T___T But I can always provide assistance with art help or anything if you need it (to the best of my ability of course / not as a "For sure this'll get your stuff accepted" or anything since I'm only a user!)
I can definitely do that! Miroku's beads would be fine, and he's actually wearing a traditional garment so it's not necessarily a tribute. I would greatly appreciate art assistance; I am a decent artist, but since I've never submitted CWs before I'm not totally familiar with what's kosher or not.
The Cash Shop item that just came out is remarkably similar to Sesshoumaru's fluff, so I would love to do his armor or sash (or pants! we have a lot of similar pants, but nothing just right).

That's like 99% of my problem. "This item is so close, but just not exactly what I want" and then the debate of how much you're willing to go through to get what you want or should you just settle with mediocre x'D
I'd be SO into Sango's hair! I've been trying to cosplay as her for YEARS and the closest I've gotten is:

Also her hiraikotsu would be REALLY cool too! _
A village background is ALSO something I'd really like to see onsite!
Other ideas:
Also a lot of the costumes from Inuyasha, like some of the armor/kimonos that the demons/other characters wear are pretty awesome _
@Cresenta The swords are absolutely on my to-do list, along with Bakusaiga, Miroku's staff, the bow of Mt. Azusa, Kohaku's weapon and Hiraikotsu. Older!Shippou's tail and feet are something I wanted to look into; I don't know if something similar exists already. The hardest part will honestly be deciding what items I should open with. That and money, since if I don't fill up slots I'd be paying a small fortune to get all the cool stuff onsite. :p
[edit] ARGH. I just got a potentially final version of Kikyou's hair finished and realized... I can't do it this way. It works great on the base, but because of the front pieces it would have to be the top layer, which puts the back of the hair in front of clothes. Hmm.. any ideas to avoid this?

I'm so excited! joins your ping group xD Hmm well I think accessories tend to sell pretty well because they are more versatile. But hair can be really popular too. Same with clothing. ^_^ It's really a hit and miss situation tbh.
Hmm I can try to look for similar hair if that'll help you figure out what you need to for yours? is not an artist ;__;
The hair between / in the arm and body area, take it out so that it's empty (so it doesn't overlap with most of the clothings). And maybe, uhh "lift" the back hair so it looks like the wind is blowing it? Would be easier to layering with most of the kimonos
That's a great idea! :) Thank you. Sometimes it takes an outside look. ^_^ I'll fix that up and post it when I post the WIPs I have for the village bg and the cursed hand beads.

Allrighty, so unfortunately I wasn't really able to lift up Kikyou's hair and have it look right, so this is pretty much the final version for her (barring rejections). I'm going to wait until I have a couple more items completed though before I open a shop thread.

I also have Miroku's beads, which due to tribute rules needed some changes. So I changed the black on his bracer to white, and flipped the beads upside down.

And I'm working on a village background. I've got flats laid for it so far.
