Post appears blank but is not

Sometimes posts will appear blank upon posting, when in actuality the post is not blank. The author of the post can edit their post and see what they wrote is still there. TO SEE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WROTE: hit the quote button on their post (the speech bubble icon) then you can read their post in the space below the thread.

I don't know if I can link to it since it's in a private forum but,
I got a ping yesterday and I went to the post that it came from but the post looks completely blank, like they hit post before writing anything.
However, when I quote the post, it copies and pastes what the post should say in the input box, and what they wrote just seems like a normal post.
What could be causing this?

Now the scode doesn't work because I am not a member but her post is showing up. Has it come back for you? Can you clear your cache for me and see if that works?

I know something like this was happening before but it was taken care of and was happening for everyone. Let me see if I can find out anything.

Yeah, it's happened to me twice, both on Wizarding posts. I think it might be on my end but I'm not sure. I'll try clearing out cache and all that.
this just happened to me with this post, but i think it was fine until i edited it to add in the magic box bit? cleared cache and so on and it's still blank. changed from safari to firefox and it's blank on there too. safari 10.0.2 and firefox 50.1.0, macOS sierra 10.12.2.

No they didn't. The weird thing is people were still pinged by it. I cleared out my history and restarted my laptop. I have the latest edition of Chrome.
What I did do was give my post to a friend and they posted for me. Then I was able to post again and my text showed up. I'm going to file a ticket if it happens again
it's good to know quoting by someone else works, at least that means there's a workaround without deleting text like i just did s: i fixed my broken post and my next one was also fine, but if it happens again i'll probably also file a ticket.
Yeah, I'm not sure it worked but it did. I did read on the post that the some of the forums are glitchy. Maybe they worked themselves out? We'll see though
I'm noticing this problem with some of 's posts as well. [edit] Also seeing this issue with other users' posts.
@ Destiny I don't mean to be bothersome but I just wanted to let you know there's now a few reports by other users if you didn't see them yet :)
