This is similar to when Shinwa's 24 hour timer was irrelevant because it reset at midnight instead of 24 hours from the previous quests. Ruffie Raffle also resets at midnight and not at the timer.
It's supposed to reset at midnight - it's just a daily. Shinwa resets on purpose at midnight as well.
Right, but there's a timer for it that resets at 24 hours. Shinwa used to have that timer, but it was removed.
Ah yeah, the timer is I think just a reminder in case you forget. It does run on a 24 hour clock, but the game itself has never required an actual 24 hour wait. If they do anything about this, it would likely just be to take the timer away entirely, which will make me sad haha.
The alert? It has always come 24 hours after you last played Ruffie Raffle, if you set one.
Could it cause problems if it was set to alert everyone who played the moment the game reset? I wonder if it might be a strain. Best left as it is now, I think.
It resets at midnight. The alert comes 24 hours after you last played if you set it, but you can play again after midnight regardless.
I know the game resets at midnight. I'm wondering if having the alert reset at midnight as well could cause problems. Which it seems they could. Weren't live events disabled because they were behind some lag issues a while back?
At least as it is now, alerts for Ruffie Raffle are staggered due to people playing at different times. It might be weird that the timer doesn't reset at midnight along with the game, but I suspect it's better this way.
This isn't a bug as far as I'm aware. It has always been this way and always functioned this way. Sending an alert to every single active user right at midnight every day, like mentioned a few posts ago; would probably strain the hell out of the server. The alert is merely a reminder. Some people get on at around the same time every day and it serves as a reminder to do that daily, or a quick link for them. If it bothers you that it doesn't send the alert right AT midnight for you, it may help to simply not set the alert and just bookmark the page. This is pretty much what I do. C:
It's not really a bug, but I agree that maybe the thing doesn't even need an alert. Like it's been mentioned other once a day activities don't have an alert (Shinwa and the Bathhouses for example). Maybe the alert for this one should just be removed as well.
