Hello, everyone! I'm new and a little confused. I'm pretty used to neopets, so the navigation is a little different (although similar in ways). Any important tips? What're your favorite things to do on here? :)

Hey there! I also came here after being an avid neo player for over 13 years on and off, haha. I honestly like it here sooo much better! The people are a lot less elitist, and there's so much you can do! Not to mention you actually have a human avatar with TONS of awesome clothing and such. The holidays here are one of my absolute favorite things. Subeta always does fun events that last for a week or two.

• Making sP (site money) here is also way easier than it was for me on neo. You can do quests to get money, and sell the items you get in your shop to make more money. There's even a quest specifically for newbies! Her name is Sarah and you can find her quests HERE
• Saggitarius quests tend to give the most money, but you have to have at least 1mil (I think) before he'll let you do quests for him.
• You can buy clothes for really cheap in the main shops!
• There are a ton of different pet colors/ species. You can create pets, or adopt them from the adoption center.
• Zapping your pets is an option here also, and way cheaper! You only need a few wizard tokens to zap your pets, and you can do it every few hours, instead of one pet, once a day. There are even Experiment pets that you can only get from the zapper! There are LOTS of them.
• You get Wizard tokens from doing quests for the wizard. He gives you more depending on how quickly you complete his quests. The most he will give you for one quest is 20 wiz tokens.

Hi, Alana! Thank you so much for all the info! It is all super helpful. I'm having some issues with the wardrobe thing though. I don't know if it's just on my end, but I can't get my facial features to show up, and my hair is behind my head! lol. I'm definitely gonna have to do some more quests! I did the newbie ones Sarah had me do, and that was cool. I've been playing a few games. I like that you can send your scores more than 3x a day. And that's a pretty cool feature with the lab ray! Do you have to play wizard tokens every time you want to zap? Or is it just a one time fee? And what do you do with the new year tokens?

The wardrobe literally just got updated a week or two ago, and they're still working on some glitches. But I think yours might be a drag and drop problem. Are you using hair from the built in section of the wardrobe, or an item you bought and added? You have to pay the tokens each time you zap. But it's really easy to make your tokens back quickly, considering you can make 250 a day from wiz quests, or 350 if you have a gold account. You can pay for a gold account with real money, or save up sP and buy one. That's one thing I really like about Subeta; you never have to spend real money if you don't want to, because you can exchange sP for the things you would originally pay real money for. The conversion rate is really inflated right now, though. You can spend the New Year tokens in the New Year shop! If you go to the news page, it's on the side bar on the right side of the screen.

Also, if you want someone to know you're speaking to them on the forums, you "ping" them by putting the @ sign in front of their name, like I did at the top of my message. Otherwise they won't get notified that you replied to them. :)

welcome to Subeta! i was a neo player too, for about 7 - 8 years until my account got frozen permanently. ^^; i joined Subeta in 2015 right after it happened, and I haven't regretted it since. in my opinion, i find this place much, much more nicer and interesting than neo was. the community here is very nice, and there really is tons to do! much less strict as well.

oh, and concerning your problem with the wardrobe, if you can you should check to see if your hair, nose, mouth and etc. layers are over your "base" layer. the base layer is your HA's outline.

That is crazy that neopets would do that! I decided to just check out another website because the games are getting really slow, and no new events are happening. Plus keyquest is gone. My fiancé said that another company bought neopets and had a ton of plans for it, but it's been a while and they fell through on their plans. Such a bummer. But I like this place so far! I'll be back and forth between here and neopets until I get acquainted with everything here. And thank you so much for the wardrobe help. That was exactly the problem!

I hardly ever get on anymore because it just brings me down haha. I am on now though, trying to trade my uc lenny. It's a slooooow process omg. And thank you! I do like my pets.

i kinda deserved to get frozen there. this was at a time where the site's filters were all wonky and let people say anything they wanted and it would get through; it was crazy. i tested it out back then, and you can guess what happened next. :P i actually wasn't too devastated for some reason, I guess I was just starting to lose interest of it then. but yeah, for me, neos just lost the charm that it had before. no more key quest, habitarium, or much of that stuff anymore, which were all basically main parts of the game itself. it's all nostalgia now though

It definitely isn't the place I remembered it to be, but it is familiar to me, so I think that's why I go back. The flash games are awful. I thought something was wrong with my computer because they're so bad. That's when my fiancé did some googling and found this place.

I totally forgot about habitarium! I loved that one too. And thanks for the offer of more help if I need it! I might have to take you up on that.

seeing how downhill it's gotten makes me glad I got frozen when I did. 😂 so few people play there anymore. i did really love the habitarium though, it was so cute. i really loved some of their (more better) flash games, too. like "let it slide" and the "hannah & the ___ caves" games. i absolutely loved those. shenkuu warrior was another awesome one i remember. i still have 1 or 2 left-over side accounts, but I just don't ever bother to go back anymore.

i still even have a small bag of those neopet plushies and figurines you could get. most were from garage sales. don't know if i could get rid of them, though.

Haha I did the same! I was getting tired of all of the changes on neo (dropping KQ & Habi) so I Googled more pet sites. This was the one that stood out to me the most. Fora while I was doing both regularly, but I've pretty much just slowly gravitated here because it feels less hostile and the owners actually reply to your tickets and problems loool I really like the top on your HA, btw!

It matches really well. & thank you! :) This hat is surprisingly hard to work with because hair seems to stick out at the top, even if it's super flat.
