OK SO, first off, I really hope this topic isn't a duplicate - I'm back from a rather long hiatus and I scanned the last couple of months here in the GD and didn't see anything. Likewise, I admittedly am not 100% finished reading the Subetapedia yet although I did just finish all the location entries today and

ANYWAY I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS

we obviously have a lot of really great and informative entries in the subetapedia that address a lot of really fascinating stuff, but one thing that keeps getting referenced in the entries is human settlers, and I haven't found anything specific about that yet... so we can gather that humans are not native to Subeta and came here from Earth, at least, right? (why? how?? when??? OMG lol Im so interested)

Likewise, that any "humanoid" people on Subeta are probably only similar to humans in appearance, having evolved from other animals in the past? (referenced here) Are any of Subeta's animals considered sentient by the types of people that live here or are they just pets and working animals? Are pets that are colored, like, Nostalgic (for example) considered alive? Is there a lot of debate about the ethics of zapping and experimenting on pets (and oneself, in the case of HAs, perhaps) or is it generally regarded as just a thing that some people do?

AND there are loads of great headcanons out there floating around (one I just found while perusing before making this topic was this one about Alexander which I LOVE)

so like... presumably some of this stuff is forthcoming in the subetapedia itself (if it isn't already out there somewhere) so I guess my first question is, is there more info about how humans came to subeta and their history here that I just don't know how to find yet? and either way, what are some of your other headcanons and ideas about life here for NPCs, pets, HAs, or other characters that you have?? Does anyone else even consider their HAs part of Subeta/Subeta lore or connected to your pets in any way, or is it just an avatar for most of you?

one thing that never fails to keep me interested in a game is the lore aspect of it, and I think that might be why I tend to fade in and out of subeta so regularly... I love my pets, and I love my HA, but who are they??? lol we have so many amazing writers and artists and creators on this site that make tribute pets and fan pets and OCs and all kinds of amazing stories, but I feel like I see subeta-themed OCs much less frequently and I think if I drum up some context for my own pets and HA to live in it might be easier for me to work with them :^p
