It's new wardrobe time! We've gone through several rounds of testing that have culminated in the 3.5 wardrobe. We've updated links across the site to use the new wardrobe as well. It should automatically convert your avatar, but if you have problems use this link and it will move your old outfits to the new system as well.

What Changed

A lot has changed between versions 3 and 3.5 of the wardrobe. In addition to a massive speed boost across the whole wardrobe, we've completely modernized the backend. We're using a new API system that we're going to begin using in other areas of the site that provide much greater speed, flexibility and security. It gives us the ability to add features around the site easily and quickly that make the avatars feel like part of Subeta, as well as update the wardrobe rapidly.

You can find more information on this thread about what changed during development. Hexes still need to be implemented, and the shared page needs to be updated as well.

✨ Biggest Change ✨

1. You now have have a total avatar limit. The limit is currently 30 for regular accounts with 45 for Gold Accounts. This means instead of 2-3 items per layer, you now have an overall limit!
2. The item searches now remember what you last searched when you come back to the page!

What's the "total avatar limit" thing mean or am I just being stupid and missing that completely?

i think that is for the number of saved avatars you can have at one time

i love the new setup, but sad my old outfits haven't transferred over. and i cant access them now to find out what they were so i can save them in the new system.

I've been using 3.5 since it was given to Gold Account users to test and I'm loving every part of it. I think the best part is though there's no cache time when we add new items. Thanks so much for launching this version.

Can you tell us when we will get back the item preview (hover) feature in the "Organize Items" section?

im all for this new wardrobe and love the layer rules! BUT When I try to wear my new HA STILL wont update z.z

they did away with the layer limits! so now you can layer as much as you want, up to a max of 30 items on your HA at a single time. unless i'm wrong again on something dsfdsfs

Ohh that makes sense. I didn't even know that feature was still available because I never figured it out with the last one. I was taking this news as you could only do 30 different avatar changes and I figured I had to be being ridiculous. Thanks for the explanation! :)

Okay that makes sense too. Honestly I'm wrong almost all of the time so Lol XD

I did have to convert to get my current wardrobe to show up, but otherwise it's working perfectly! Yay ^X^

I love the new wardrobe! Happy to see it's being release. Much faster, easier to search, the whole shebang.

at the moment i cant get my avatar from the new wardrobe to show up around the site. it still shows my avatar from the old one

edit: now it's showing up in the forum but not the main pages

~Rats...I was not done pulling up and saving the images from my legacy avatars...sigh....guess I just have to hope i saved them before. I usually did...I have a whole file of saved HA's on my desktop, yes I am a giant nerd. A little forewarning might have been nice...like new wardrobe is going live in... 2 days or something LOL. That said i like the new Wardrobe, and hope you guys bring back the colour matching tool.. I LOVED that tool. it's so handy when you are working on a specific themed Avatar based on colour.

Loved this in testing, so happy to see it's official now! Thanks, Keith! Can't wait until searching by color returns, that's been a super handy feature for me now that my wardrobe is expanding.
