I've been using Skype for quite a while now and recently, I was introduced to this lighter, minimalist messenger called Discord. Since it's fairly new, it doesn't have a lot of features but I'm fond of its black with white text layout...plus, it doesn't lag like Skype does. It has a clean look and organized chatrooms (or servers as the software calls it) where anyone with the invite link can enter. The only thing it doesn't have, compared to Skype, is screen sharing. What sold me, tbh, is how light and bug-free it is, even if it has a limit of 2000 characters. I figured it'd be a nice thing to post here since people love Skype so much. Plus, Discord has a mobile and a web version, in case you don't want the client.

Pretty much all of my friends are on Skype, never heard of Discord before though
Leave it to me: I'm always top banana in the shock department.
