I'm having a slight issue with the Blue Butterfly Vase appearing in the Cavern of Curios shop. I've spent over a week in the shop regularly refreshing and sitting for hours hoping for it to pop up. I have seen EVERY. SINGLE. COLOR. aside from the blue.

I checked the rarity level, in which Blue is 80, and Green is 75. Yet I have seen the green a few times in the shop, so why is it that one that's only a few points above is so much rarer? I mean for goodness sake if you look into the shop search, the green vase is 64,999 SP, where as the blue there's only about 4 sellers and they're all 2,599,000 SP. 5 points make it THAT much rarer?

Can someone please explain it to me? I just want to understand if I should just continue waiting out in the shop or try to save up the 2 and a half mill to get this item.

That's very strange, I guess it would be worth if someone had a look into this.

I remember I got the Blue Butterfly Vase a month or two ago as a reward from one of the quests (I think it was Drills) and back then the price in user shops was around 700k (but still significantly higher than the other Butterfly Vases).

I've noticed with some items with rarity point around 80 for some reasons are priced pretty high (e.g. Celestial Bookmark with a rarity of 83 is right now in the shops for 25m).

Not sure if it's due to market demand or just not restocking properly.

I don't know, it's just very odd to me, I mean I understand it's a rare item, but still, within a week, it should have appeared once in the shop right? I mean the green vase tends to appear around 5-10 times or so a day during regular restocks. I would think it should at least maybe appear once a day maybe. 85 I think is where it hits Super Rare, but even those typically appear at least in one restock a day.

I just think something's either up with the restock or it's rarity level needs to be reset if they want it to be THAT rare.

And that I need to go play some extra games to pick up extra sp if I do have to buy the 2mil costing ones XD

: Probably it restocks while you're not online/ sleeping? The Cavern of Curious has new batches of items recently (the prints and most recently the lantern ornaments). These also affect the restocking rate of other rare items in the shop. In other shops where there are fewer rare and super rare items, these tend to restock more often, so I don't think there is any problem with the blue vase. It might just be that whoever restocks it keeps it for themselves, or uses it as gifts, so the price sky-rockets for now.

I wanted all the portraits, so I restocked in there religiously for about two months. In that time I also found Blue Butterfly Vases four times and was able to snag four. The four that I snagged were two at a time, so half the time I wasn't fast enough..

The price that they are at is in fact inflated. I'm an undercutter and dropped the prices on mine and they still didn't sell for weeks until I dropped the price below the price of the user(s) who are fucking with the price of it to buy them from me. (still a lot of sP in my pocket)

Goddesses know how may of them they have stored away.

I am going to go ahead and lock this up since it is not a bug.
