Hi everyone! Not sure if this is possible, but it's a solution to a topic a lot of people discuss! I for one wish we knew at the end who our Mysterious Melody was to thank them for the gifts we sent back and forth, which is also something I've seen posted about often! I think it's great that it's a mystery who you're sending to, but it would be nice once you aren't matched with them anymore to be able to send a proper thank you!

Maybe if both sides had a button to press accept on that allowed a notification to be sent to the matched Mysterious Melody revealing their name, and each person pressed accept that it would trigger the notification. If one side or neither sides say no, it would remain anonymous.

Not sure if it's even possible, but just a late night thought. :)

Even if you have to okay it, I still feel like there's room for abuse so I don't agree with revealing usernames. I know Mysterious Melody is different than regular anon gifting, but you're still choosing to gift anonymously. That might mean not getting a personal, heartfelt thank you, but that's what you're signing up for.

I have to agree with ...some of the fun is never finding out who you had. I love throwing big ticket items at people but if they found out who I was...it wouldnt be as much fun

While I completely understand where you're coming from - sometimes it kills me not to know who it was - I agree that MM should remain anonymous completely. In my opinion, the entire point of mysterious melody is that you'll never know who your partner was - that's the mystery of it, and also part of the magic of the activity, in my humble opinion :)
