I would boost to T11 or T12, then save them for T13 after that because the EXP cost hike at T13 is pretty annoying and you'll find tomes to be most useful at that point. In the meantime, if you train and do your BQs every day, that should give you a steady stat increase.
whats BQs? and by the way jess how do I put my pet on my avatar like, you got yours under your avatar?
My main pet was stuck at T7 for the longest time. My best weapons are at T10+ so I steadily kept training and saved until I had enough boosters to boost to the very end of T9 and train to T10 in a week. I have been using my boosters now on my second pet who is now T7, but I have been using some free boosters on him since T6. The only boosters I have been giving him are level boosters or any boosters I get with level since I didn't want to boost level on my main pet for a while.
You can really use boosters or tomes at any time. The earlier on you use them, the more expensive training becomes but you will also tier up faster so it's up to you and what budget you want to stick to.
I think its only worth it when I'm really high like in the 10ks? I have wasted tomes before.. but it took me a long time to get my pet to training mode again.
You will definitely want to start using them way before 10k stats unless you mean 10k total stats? Every time you increase level, the time it takes to train goes up. When you have around 2 - 2.5k even stats, the time it takes to train is around 480 - 525 minutes. It would take a really long time to get to T11/T12 when you can start taking on the impossible guys if you only trained at the training center.
BQs = battle quests. Each quest gives you exp that can be turned into stats. It's the cheapest way to increase stats, aside from free boosters from shinwa, the job agency, or the mage.
Under your pets page is also a leash pet feature that allows others to see your pet in the forums.
Here's a link to the BQs (battle quests) https://subeta.net/games/battle/quest.php
Definitely do as many BQs as you can every day. You get a good chunk of EXP for each one you complete, as well as a weapon you can sell. The EXP you get increases every 5 quests you do (so does the difficulty of the opponents, though!) Normal accounts can do 20 BQs every day and gold accounts can do 30. I find the EXP really adds up... just do them every day for a little while, then you'll be amazed how much EXP you've got stacked up from it.
I second the opinion to wait until higher tiers, like T10 seems a good estimate based on calculations I've done before, because that's when the EXP cost of stats AND training time both get really annoying. Tomes do cost more sP, but that's the trade-off. You have to decide when you're willing to pay more for efficiency.
By the way, the pet leash feature is a gold account feature, just so you know. (But you're probably on a gold account right now anyway, since Keith gave us free gold yesterday :) )

you can blast through to tier 6 in one year, and to tier 9 in two years of regular training.
After that, time training is a major factor. Also, by the time your pets are tier 8ish or so you are going to need a ton of AP and tomes are the easiest way to get INT. So I'd start Tome-ing my pets somewhere between tier 8 and 9. '
Strue that t13 pets are hard to train, but that's just it they're hard to train. There are very few challengers left at that tier where you really need to boost to kill them off at all, and many of those challengers will drop a nice supply of tomes and mage amulets for you. Any boosting you are doing at that tier are mostly for the overall rank IMO.
The stronger you are to start with, the more challengers you can defeat. For that reason I spend my BQ and TBT exp as soon as I get it.
: The Battle Quests have been changed, now all accounts can finish up to 30 quests. Gold accounts have 2 skips and regular accounts have only one. I think that's the only difference right now.
Like everyone said if you keep on training and doing BQs you'll get to higher tiers very soon. I was around Tier 7-8 autumn last year and that was when I started doing BQs too. I just reached Tier 11 last week just by training and BQ-ing and beating challengers in the coliseum and during Throwback Thursday. The amount of tomes I've used is around 5-6, that's all and I'm saving them for Tier 13.
If you want to beat more difficult challengers more quickly, you can boost as early as you want, but it also means it'll be very expensive to reach high tiers this way
: TBT is Throwback Thursday. You can find opponents brought back from previous events/ plots under the Throwback tab in the Battle coliseum. Today is meant to be TBT if I remember it right, so if you have time you can try beating the opponents there before they swap them out for the new ones.
TBT is throwback thursday. Challengers that weren't generally available comes back for us to fight.
So how do I heal my pets is there a healing center? I haven't played in a while lol
and what do those crystals do that you win
Yup there's the healer here
Once healing starts getting expensive you can try hit on the Easy/ Medium opponents to save healing cost. That's what I do nowadays and it's extremely helpful to have Easy-Medium TBT challengers.
Thank you so much! I still cant find this throw back Thursday page? is it in the regular opponents page? also how many weapons can you use at once?
There are several tabs in the Battle Coliseum. Throwback is the last tab. It is written 'Throwback'.
You can bring 8 weapons into battle, but can only use 2 per turn, plus one shard/ throwing potions and a scroll, also per turn.
This is some good advice. my pet is stuck at T7 so this is super helpful
We shall rise as we fall
I tome trained my main BD pet, currently at mid t11, from t6+, literally all training came from tomes and other lesser boosters. I went from t6 to t11 in about 2 months, this is not cost effective though XD
I think it cost a few bil or so. But I didn't want to spend 6months+ training, let a loan years!
I am with you there. I tome boosted/boosted my main pet and skipped T8,T9 and half of T10 because:
A: Most of my armory is geared towards high tiered pets so I couldn't use over half my armory at T7 and B: I've been a member for 8 years and should have at least one capped pet by now and don't.
Now I am saving my tomes for him when he hits T13 but for shinwa boosters that give +1 stat and +1 level or boosters that give a majority of level and a couple of another stat, I give those all to my second pet that levels up faster and finishes training a lot faster.
