I'm a complete and utter newb. I'm sort of fumbling my way around. I did my quests for the day, and I did a few for the Major Drills. As you can see, my avatar is a little ... nude still, but it's OK! I'm starting to get the hang of things and it's fun so far. I'm excited to start collecting clothing items to get an awesome avatar.

Aw, thank you so much! <3 That's very kind. I would love some ornaments. I don't know how this holiday festival works, exactly, but I'm trying to figure it out!

It's my first Luminaire but it's essentially a gift giving holiday. You go to Melody's Cottage each day for a gift and if you go there after you've already claimed your gift for the day you can buy boxes that you open in your inventory to get a random number of random ornaments. You can buy another box every 10 minutes or so. Ornaments can be added to your Ornament Inventory which you can then use to decorate your tree. Then you go around to other people's profiles and leave gifts under their trees and on the 25th everybody opens their presents and sees what they got. The Luminaire board on the forum is full of threads for giveaways and gift trading so check that out, too.

Oh and you can throw snowballs at people. The Snowtapault link is on the front page sidebar. You buy snowballs and you throw them at either specific people or random users. It's open all winter.
