If you don't want to spend on the background, you could always wait until later this month when they do the Free Shop giveaways. There are usually tons of Melody items in that, so you could either try to get one then or at least see if the price goes down.

Seeing as I audibly gasped when I saw it and hoped it was wearable, I would be down for anything from it. I'd love something like how Bean also did the Kiyo and Yukisumi pieces, sleeves/top and then the skirt.

- I'm imagining a longer, more flowy version of the Baby New Year Wraps trailing behind the HA. If she does that for the top part, that's all I need to be happy and you can have whatever sleeves or skirts you want. :D

She did an amazing job on those, too, but I just love what she does with kimonos/similar (the arm movements ! Layering possibilities !). Although this does look more like a spin on a uchikake. Arguably a junihitoe. And thus would be harder to break apart.
