I only ever saw two, YugiOh Abridged by "LittleKuriboh" and the one for Sword Art Online by "Something Witty Entertainment"... but I want to see more, so I thought I'd just ask you for your favourites :)
Free 50% off parodies are gold.
Going to second 50% Off by Octopimp. Absolutely hilarious.

“The Ephebians believed that every man should have the vote. Every five years someone was elected to be Tyrant, provided he could prove that he was honest, intelligent, sensible, and trustworthy. Immediately after he was elected, of course, it was obvious to everyone that he was a criminal madman and totally out of touch with the view of the ordinary philosopher in the street looking for a towel."
There was a parody on Sexy Commando Gaiden called "Michael Jackson and friends". I don't know if you can still find it online, but all in all, the original anime is rather funny on it's own.
Gigguk has a new series on their YouTube channel that takes a full anime and crushes down the plot and character development into a few-minute video. At the moment, Tokyo Ghoul in 5 Minutes, Sword Art Online in 5 Minutes, and Re:Zero in 8 Minutes are available. Please let me know if you enjoy them!
Personally my top favorites are Yu-Gu-Oh, 50% off, Attack on titan Abridged. It's kinda hit and miss with the series sometimes. I've watched a couple random ones but those are fun if you've seen the anime first.
I'll have to third (...or fourth?) 50% off. It's simply amazing, and the only parody that I've thoroughly enjoyed.

Oh man, so many replies! Thanks so much :3 Seems like I really need to check out 50% off :D
Would I enjoy these videos without having seen the respective animes first? And I plan to watch Tokyo Ghoul, so are they very spoilery? :D
I just remembered, there's also AMV Hell. A collection of AMV's (anime music videos, basically anime clips + random audio from movies/tv shows/music/stand-up comedy/etc. mashed together) that I can't reccomend enough to anyone who likes comedy and/or watching anime. You can find them all on the link (I think you can also DL them). Be warned, some of them are NSFW (a.k.a. hentai-themed) but I think there's only two of those among... 7 of them in total? There's also the "AMV Hell mini" series they continued on Youtube (fan contributions) but the original was best imho.
tl;dr: A legendary collection of anime music videos that's a must-watch.
Well, Sword Art Online is what it is. So I suppose it's semi-innocent in the sense that all that is shows is common knowledge of what takes place in the show. I would recommend watching it even if you haven't seen the series. And especially if you have; because it is so much better than the original. XD
However, with Re:Zero, I had never seen the series and still chose to watch the recap. I was very entertained despite the fact, and though it revealed a lot of the story - but not very accurately - it was what made me want to watch the anime. I would suggest watching only if you don't mind this.
Lastly, having heard about your desire to watch Tokyo Ghoul, I definitely want you to hold off from watching the parody UNTIL you've finished the anime. It will be so much more worthwhile that way. Also! As a huge fan of the series, myself; can I ask how you were introduced to TG or what you know about it thus far? I'm always curious about others' experiences with these kinds of things.
Sounds interesting, i'll have a look, thanks :)
Yeah, i'm not too bothered by spoilers most of the time (e.g. i saw The Force Awakens knowing everything and still loved it), but series normally run much much longer than movies, and so if i'm a bit interested, I try not to see spoilers :D I basically know next to nothing, a friend of mine watches it and really enjoys it, but he's not good with summaries, haha :P there's also ads on TV, but sadly it runs at a time i'm not at home... :/
LittleKuriboh does a fan based parody of a fan based parody of Naruto, which is funny.

Are you opposed to reading manga at all? I would highly recommend checking out the original story before seeing the anime. The first season follows the manga pretty well and does a decent job overall, as an adaption, but the second season was chosen to be an 'original story' and went completely off-the-wall with the series. If you're not much of a manga reader, I would at least suggest going into the series with some expectations for the first season, but none for the subsequent. Fans of Tokyo Ghoul, overall, tend to ignore the second season all together. The key is to pretend it just doesn't exist.
I actually found a trailer, if you'd like to check it out.
Oh, I think I've seen that, does Natruto have a super deep raspy voice because he smokes a lot... and Kakashi was called David Bowie the whole way through? :D
Actually, not opposed at all, I own a lot of manga from when i was an "active" fan - right now I only buy Case Closed regulary, bc I love crime series so much (love the movies and the series as well ^^). I'm not up-to-date with the newest anime or manga, sadly, so I wasn't even aware there was a manga for Tokyo Ghoul :D is it completed? That sounds really depressing, with the second season :/ why do companies do this? sigh
yeah, he does one for yu-gi-oh too

Tokyo Ghoul has completed its initial manga series, yes! The reboot - properly named Tokyo Ghoul:re - is still in progress, though the two seasons of the anime adaption do not cover any of its content - thus I would recommend looking into the first manga series, alone. The manga for this series is highly admired, while the anime - more specifically the second season, again - is known for being a disappointment. I understand how awful it can be to watch a series be manipulated by a production team. It's a terrible feeling. But - ! The third season, which is projected to air next fall, 2017, has actually been handed over to an entirely separate company. We may see some redemption for the anime, after all~

Yeah, YGOTAS is one of my favourite things on the internet, period :D I also really love his let's play videos, where he plays as Marik, do you know them? Hilarious!
Alright, so I can read the initial series, then watch the first season, and see how far I make it into season two xD and if that's no good, there is a silver lining with season three. Sounds like a plan! :D
Wonderful! My only last question / concern is with your preference while watching an anime. Are you more of a Dub fan or a Sub fan? Normally, I wouldn't stress the need to watch a specific version, but with Tokyo Ghoul , I can't just stand by and let people suffer. XD I'm very sorry if you are not a fan of watching with subtitles, but one last very-known aspect about the anime is that the English Dub is atrocious . Please, please consider looking into the Sub version for when you watch the anime. XD Please. ❤
Haha, yeah, I hear/read that a lot for most movies, animes, TV series... :D most of the animes i watched back in the day were on TV, so they were german dubs, and german people seem to love to complain about the dubs (and I can understand it only half of the time xD). I considered signing up for crunchyroll, do you know if that has the option to watch the OV with subtitles?
