I've just gotta 64 hard tokens in the battle shop and I've been thinking about spending them to update my set a little bit. My battle pet stats are currently this: Level: 222 Health: 619 / 622 Strength: 558 Defense: 562 Speed: 555 Intelligence: 223 (13 AP) And my set is this:

My sp budget is right now non-existent for the most part, I'm just looking to do a tiny upgrade via tokens this time, but any advice for the future is welcome too, especially for upcoming T6 upgrades.

And I was also looking to go for a small combo of (not buying this for tokens, though) + , but maybe + are stronger, I have neither of those items right now, but the Duster I'd probably buy for sp. And I heard advice about upgrading to , but I feel like I don't exactly understand the benefit of the item well. Same for

Thanks to everyone in advance~ [edit] Okay, I've checked the the combos I'm talking about in the post.

Feathery combo blocks :block:dark: :block🔥 and :block:physical: and does :dmg:earth: :dmg:wind: :dmg:water: and Green combo blocks :block:wind: :block:light: and :block:earth: and does :dmg:magma: :dmg🔥 and :dmg:earth: .

I'm not very knowledgeable about icons, when do they start being important? It seems to me getting both combos for different sets would be rather wasteful, am I right in that matter? Getting both combos for different sets d

I think you'll be just fine with the Grenade. Just save your tokens until later.

As for the freezer, many recommend upgrading to the Collar or Gorgun because they have higher certainty of freezing (100%) while the Freezing Rod has slightly lower chance (though it still has high chance of freezing). Not many opponents until Tier 6-7 blocks ice either so you can stick with the rod if it still does its job.

Icons are for strategy building if you want to hit opponents slightly stronger than you. Then you'll want to use the icons that they don't block and arm yourself with weapons that block whatever icons they do. A list of opponents with their weapons and icon type can be found here. So, for example if you want to tackle Pete then the Defensive feather can be of some use. However when training is still quick you'll overpower him in no time so you don't really have to worry about getting the defensive feather. You can get the duster to have two hard hitting weapons. As for blockers you can also look into or . They can both be created through Asmodeus Lab. They block far fewer icons than the Tempered Shield, but they don't break so you can bring either of them into battle just in case the shield breaks midway.

I can't think of anything else atm so maybe some other more experienced battlers may be able to help you more ^^

Oh and you can start saving up for scrolls too. They can help change the outcome of a battle so they're definitely helpful.

I don't know very much about the combo items, I never used them. As far as blocking is concerned, that is highly dependent on who you are battling. The most common icons an opponent around your tier deals though is dark, fire, earth and physical so any of those blocks will always help.

The gorgun and collar of slavery are recommended by many battlers because they are 100% freeze. Which item you use as your 100% freezer will change as your pet grows. Many challengers at your tier and higher can be frozen or only frozen during the first turn. Freezing an enemy can give you a free turn to heal or attack, a free turn to steal or blast, or can stop your enemy from hurting you if you are also frozen. The gorgun is nice because it's inexpensive and guaranteed freeze. The collar is the same expect it costs more tokens, but also blocks light icons. Depending on who you fight, blocking light could be necessary.

Paying attention to what icons your enemies deal is always important. You'll know there hardest hitting weapon based on the number next to the icon. For example, say an enemy has a weapon like this:

Weapon :dmg:earth: 11 :dmg:wind: 2 :block🔥 all

So the weapon deals 11 earth icons and 2 wind icons. You will want to block the earth icons since that is what will do the most damage to you. You don't have to block the wind icons because he only does two of those icons and it won't hurt as much as if you let all 11 earth icons damage you. The weapon also blocks all fire so you don't want a weapon that does fire damage because it won't hurt the enemy.

The best thing to do for your armory is to have a variety of weapons you can swap out in your armory to block all icons. The most important would probably be having a weapon that blocks a lot of dark, a weapon that blocks a lot of earth, one that blocks a lot of water and one that blocks a lot of fire.
