Hey guys, nice to meet any and all of you, you can call me Krista. I've been on Subeta for about a week now and finally decided to introduce myself into the forums, better late than never I guess. I kinda wanted to get a feel for the site first and I wasn't sure if I'd be hooked enough to even be active in the forums but I'm not gonna lie I really love it and from the brief reading of different topics the community seems so friendly and welcoming which is a relief.

A long time ago I was super into Neopets and then I took a break and went back to check on it and it just... isn't the same to be honest. Totally different vibes than before but I don't know how to explain it. I also used to frequent Marapets but I can't remember my login and that sites about dead. So I went on a search for other sites like that and found Subeta and I'm so happy I did. The interface and design is pretty simple to understand, and I love the bonus of having an avatar to design, the pets are the cutest things possibly ever, and like I said everyone on here seems super nice and inviting.

I'm actually really tempted to spend money on cash shop credits and to help support the site, I love that it doesn't feel forced on you which I appreciate. I like that I can basically do everything still and I don't HAVE to have csc to get anywhere.

Anyways still trying to figure out the whole custom overlays thing? what's all that about? and I'm really excited to make descriptions and a profile for my pets, I'm not sure how to go about that either but I saw some other people's pet bios and I'm really intrigued to figure it out so any help with how to set up stuff like that would be helpful.

Welcome to Subeta! I'm also a former Neopets user and while I stilll go on there for nostalgia I definitely love Subeta far more! I might have had a Marapets account at one point, but I don't remember much about it lol. I have to agree how amazing the pets and avatars are here though, definitely my favourite parts of the site along with achievements!

Hello and welcome to Subeta! There's a large community of people here that like to focus on their pet characters, pet stories and pet profiles. There's always been a market for artists to create custom images, or overlays, for pets. Within the last year or so, Subeta has added an option where you can pay to have your pet's custom image viewed around the site. For instance, if you have your pet "leashed" to be seen on the forums and bought the custom overlay option, everyone on the forums will be able to see your overlay instead of having to view your pet's profile. When you do things like battle, train your pet, feed your pet, or check your pet into a resort, you will also see the overlay. The pet profile will also say "insert pet name, the custom insert pet breed"
