I'm thinking there are people, myself included, that don't always like a revamp when it comes to their/our pets. So maybe an option could be given to chose if we want to keep pet as it was, or accept the revamp.

The great thing about subeta is that if you want your pet to look like old outdated art, you can put an overlay on the pet. There are even extensions on most browsers that allow you replace a certain image url with the url of you choice so that all you will ever see is your url (unless of course they have a custom overlay that has a different url). I don't think this option is necessary. They update the art because it needs to be updated to match the current art on the site.

But to be honest, I want to say this has been suggested before and shot down.

I don't think this is necessary, art has to be updated eventually. A lot of my own pets have overlays on their profiles and while the overlays don't carry over through-out the site, I think it's fine. We aren't being forced to pay for overlays that do appear on more than just the pets' profile page... it's an option.

Yes. For example, my pet Banana is a golden tutani. She doesn't look like a normal tutani and so I got art of her and coded it into her profile. If you can't do art or profiles, often there are others on the profile and graphics market that will help or offer free profiles and overlays. It doesn't HAVE to be a paid custom overlay. That just makes it to where you see it where ever it is on site...training, games, etc.
