Ecclesia from Latin & Greek, meaning: “gathering of those summoned” I adopted an Experiment from the pound a couple of hours ago... Just now, as I was thinking up a character based on the pet. (Partly inspired by Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia) ...I looked up the name and found out (surprisingly) that it was free! :) I immediately changed the name... and I can't wait to start planning what I'll do with Ecclesia! <3

Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia is definitely one of my favourite games too! :) It was so much fun playing as Shanoa. Actually my decision to look up Ecclesia was influenced by my decision to check Shanoa - but it was already taken - then I checked Ecclesia and it was perfect :D

I'm still working on her character. The idea is that at the moment she is a vampire hunter who is actually a vampire herself - stemmed from an incident when she was young. She was born into a prominent vampire hunter family but became an orphan when her family was attacked by a group of vampire mercenaries in a surprise attack. Her powers had been surpressed so she has not yet become aware of her true self. A bit of a Jekyll/Hyde situation I guess :P

It's seriously getting harder and harder to find names that are not taken. I stumbled upon this name I wanted (it was Swedish name) and it was taken plus all of the variant spellings ._.

I totally understand the feeling! I think ever since the limit on free pet slots increased from 5 to 10 there's been an insurgence of good names snapped up. Sometimes I find myself going on name websites just randomly looking through less popular names for inspiration.

I've tried so many name combos for names that I thought were available, but sometimes I just felt like if the spelling strayed too far from the original it didn't look right. I think one of the reasons I'm looking up more foreign language names is due to this - it's a bit easier than names that are popular in English speaking countries :P I just wish I can get pet slots a bit faster as I have so many characters sitting on the back burner begging for more slots, and I have to go check their names every now and then to make sure they are still free and try and guess what names are likely to be taken next so I can prioritise what I use my petslots for.

Awww, thank you! :) Order of Ecclesia is definitely my fave DS-era Castlevania game along with (or ahead of Dawn of Sorrows). Shanoa kicks serious ass! And I like how for this game they returned to the realistic art style (I didn't really like the anime art style of DoS or Portrait of Ruin).

Awesome~! I always really have to hunt for new names. I'll think I'm being super original by using some weird word, and of course it's already taken and there are already like ten pets with variations. XD

All of my pet names are foreign names (except for Alexia, Leeona, Iona and the variant of Bently. And I have some RW too). It takes me all night to find names off of baby name sites that aren't taken.
