Whoo, if that title doesn't get people in I dunno what will!

I've been hit by a huge inspiration burst for my pet Sockhop and have finally come up with a character for her! Annie Sheffield is a 16 year old girl living in a nuclear family sometime in the 1950s. She works as a waitress at a diner and loves dancing, rock music, cheerleading... the usual stuff the kids these days are into. Annie has a big problem though-- she's in love with her best friend. A best friend who happens to be female. In a time when "gay" still means happy to most, her girlfriends are all in love with Elvis Presley, and homosexuality is looked on about as favorably as leprosy.

Basically I'm looking for her best friend/love interest! I'd love for this to be an ongoing thing (so I have an excuse to get off my ass and write something) but even a quick roleplay to flesh out her character some more works. I also like the idea of RPing with a teacher, another friend, family member, etc. who she can confide in.
