When playing around with HAs I've found it quite a pain to easily find suitable pieces, as I just visually browse the list of items, which means having to sweep the mouse over every. single. item.

Yes the preview displays next to the HA in the V3 wardrobe, and this is near instant (on my PC anyway), but it still requires mousing over every item to get that preview, which I personally find really tedious. Especially when you don't really know exactly what you're looking for, as many items don't give a good idea of what the wearable actually looks like.

Ideally, having an option to display the previews instead of the items in the 'item' section of the wardrobe would be great. As it'd allow for comfortable scanning of many items just by scrolling.

There did use to be at least one external site that displayed the previews, but presumably the death of the V2 wardrobe is why they disappeared? Haven't been able to find a site that currently does the same thing.

I think this would be difficult to implement in a way that would work simply because you would have to minimize the preview to fit a decent amount on a page at the cost of full size recognition. It's probably why the item cis are there instead of previews - to save space and fit more wears on a page. I get the frustration especially with the trend of having the item cis be nothing like the overlay but not sure if I'd like only previews. T_T As long as it were to be an option and we could keep the cis like you said, then I'm not bothered by it.

It did occur to me that the previews wouldn't fit in the existing space, which is obviously optimised for the 64x64 images. I don't code past extremely basic tampering with HTML/CSS, but it doesn't seem like it'd be impossible to either resize the display area when "previews" was selected, have the previews pop up in a new window or even an additional "previews" tab/section next to the "items" one or something?

And yeah, definitely make it an option to have either the items or the previews, a check box for 'display previews' seems logical.
