I just had an extremely hot bath, because I left it unattended, and while it tried to flay the skin off me I had a brilliant idea... healing hot springs!

location: Arctic Frost purpose: healing and items appearance: like a Nordic or Japanese hot spring.

How it would work:

  • You go to the hot spring and like at the healer there is a list of all your injured pets.
  • You can only have one pet in the hot spring at a time, you chose your pet.
  • Healing costs say 100sP per HP + 1 minute, you chose length of stay and pay.
  • Next you choose a towel. For every additional 30mins in the hot spring you choose another towel. (0-29 mins = 1 choice, 30-39mins 2 choices etc...)
  • You do not get to keep the towels, they are the hot springs property. However you do get to keep anything you find under the towel. I'm thinking there will be a percentage chance of receiving various things.
  • Your pet proceeds to the spring and is not available to battle for the duration it is in the spring.
  • There is an auto check out

Potential items under the towels...

  • nothing
  • 1 hp (very special/rare)
  • model of hot spring, wearable item of the hot springs (very special/rare)
  • plushie/beanbag of hot springs
  • old melody items "wow that must have been here since lumiaire. You decide to give it a good home."
  • wearable towels of various colours
  • rubber ducks from the toy box but wearable maybe and exclusive to hot spring.
  • special hot spring minion like...

Not 100% on prices. I think the Healer would have to charge more to keep in step but she is very cheap at the moment. Also wouldn't want this to be too cheap as you are potentially getting items or HP.

- what do you guys think?

We don't really need a second healer, or a second bath area when we have Selina and the Shengui Guo Daily.

It's not about need. It's about enriching the subeta world and adding variety.

I love the whole idea and think it is very well thought out. I think Subeta NEEDS more choices to keep things interesting. We have more than one resort and our current healer is kind of boring. :P BTW those pics are amazing! I want to go to both. :)

Why would you ever go for more than 1 minute if it's more expensive than the existing healer and you get your item right at the start?

[edit]

This could make some sense to me as an alternative to the healer if it didn't give out prizes. The healer could cost more per HP and heal instantly, while the healing springs would be cheaper but would take time and keep your pet out of battle during the process.

Prizes overcomplicate things, and don't really make sense to me. It would encourage non-battlers to throw their pets in battle against prodigy to injure them just so they could heal for prizes. That's not something that should be rewarded. You're supposed to earn prizes from winning battles, not losing.

I like this idea overall, but hate the idea of having to spend a long time healing. Battling takes long enough without having to wait to battle again.

It's not variety. It's a less convenient version of a feature we already have

Adding stuff for the sake of adding stuff is not a good idea.

I don't get the whole healing part since we have the healer already + we don't need prizes all the time. Also, the batthouses are similar to the hot springs imo. I wouldn't mind seeing a form of hot springs but nothing that has to do with healing. It could be some sort of dailies or I don't know?

Why would you need to find "one HP" under the towel if you came for a full healing though? I'm more about reuse and recycle than creating more items.

I like these ideas! :D

Hello! I think that this 1 extra HP is like the ones we sometimes get in Random Events, it adds 1 HP to your pet's total HPs (if your pet had 20 HPs before, now it would have 21 HPs) :o

OH! Oh. I thought it meant to be like "healing 1HP". I was wondering the use of it ha ha. Thanks for pointing it out c:

I think it's a cute idea, and I agree Subeta could always use more variety in every aspect. I don't think it's especially superfulous and we don't really need a 100% utilitarian attitude towards new features. "Prizes" or no prizes it would be a nice area to have on the map to give some depth to Subeta's worlds, and Subeta could always use more worldbuilding.

Honestly just for the sake of adding to Subeta's worldbuilding it's worth having there even if it doesn't "do" a whole lot!
