Buggy Bug Catching?

I've been actively searching for about two hours at this point, but I can't find the bug I'm suppoaed to hunt. Is it possible that the floating pumpkins and Bug Catching 'overlap' and now only pumpkins turn up?

I'm assuming this problem has something to do with having two different types of floaters drifting around the site. Just curious, are you using the custom CSS that forces floaters to a specific spot on the screen?

I know, right? =D No, I'm not using any kind of custom CSS. Maybe it's linked to the browser? I'm using Firefox.
, hmmm, well it's good to know that isn't the cause. That CSS makes it much easier to catch floaters!
I'm using Chrome, so it's probably not browser based?

The pumpkins are the cause of it but they aren't preventing it. It is just that the pumpkins are more common and so the bugs are playing second fiddle right now.

Thanks for the update. Given how many pages I visited yesterday (especially considering the multiple slots quests the Major gave me XD) I'm feel confident saying that the likelihood of catching bugs is edging close to 'near impossible' XD Maybe I'll get lucky!

I nnoticed this too. The past two days, I've had to buy the bug at the end of the day, because I never found it

I will ask again if the likelihood of getting the bug can be increased but last year the same thing happened and we were told that it was not impossible to find, just harder because of the pumpkins.

Hi guys! So yes, you can get bugs and pumpkins. They're using the same queue so to speak for floating, so the odds of finding a bug is a bit lower while pumpkins are also floating.
I was going to do a news post later today reminding you all that you have until tomorrow night to finish bug catching because it'll be retiring, but I'll go ahead and remind you guys here too. Just keep browsing the site, ToTing people, etc. You should be able to find your bug eventually! <3 GOOD LUCK.
Second day of not being able to collect my bug. (I am always doing it right in the morning, thus I'd already gotten it on day 1 of Morostide, before the news came out.) And I am pretty positive, that being the last day, I will not find it today's either. Normally they appear right after clicking "I will help", sometimes even on that very page/click already, but I've already spent some time and again still nothing. So, here's hoping for next summer ;-)
I've found the bug hunt "near impossible" the last couple days too. I've been on the site for hours and picked up TONS of pumpkins but never found my bugs. I finally had to turn in ones from my collection when a whole day had gone by with no luck.
