I would love to see prices in galleries again.
Having prices for your gallery items would be useful for:
a) Easily seeing when something you like hoarding is a price you like paying.
b) Easy to find items you might be willing to part with if the price is right.
c) If, like me, you have a fragging gallery it makes it easier to find items at prices you want to buy more at.
I am hoping the major problems we were getting were due to people actually viewing shop pages rather than the pricing process there fore this wouldn't put a tax on the site.
i know there will be lots of people who either wouldn't use this or don't understand how helpful this would be and that's fine. I ask you refrain from unconstructive or rude comments just because you wouldn't use a feature like this.
I do welcome constructive comments, both for and against (fingers crossed for ;))
Oh god please no. I am very thankful we can't price galleries anymore. There were quite a few times when I nearly autopriced my galleries because of misclicking.
I don't think it's necessary to enable autopricing in galleries, but I do think it would be helpful to see the lowest buy price listed next to the items.
I think you misworded your topic and people think it is for actually autopricing and not for just showing the prices. I would love to see the prices in galleries again.

What was the question?
- nope I didn't. I do mean autopricing. If you just have the lowest price you can't organise it by price so for my uses it would be pointless.
- In the past if you autopriced a gallery then it was still a gallery not a shop. No one could buy from it just because you autopriced. I often use to turn my shop in to a gallery before I autopriced so I could then go and pull the really cheap stuff that I wanted to hoard or frag. Then turn it back in to a shop to sell the rest ;)
oh wow! I never knew you could do that. That would be cool.

- It's the thing I miss most about the new system. I Don't think it would be quite the same as you wouldn't be able to turn shops in to galleries and back on account of their item limits being different. But as an easy storage pricing tool it would be sooo nice to have back.
Yes, I agree. I wish I had known about that before. I never did much with my gallery after they came out with the hoarding achievements. I just stuffed one of every thing in there.

No thanks; I feel like it would cause a lot of unnecessary lag in galleries, especially full ones (the site would have to price check 100 items per page every time you loaded your gallery).
I would find this very useful!
I have no opinion on lag because I don't know enough about the source of lag and the shop rewrite to know if this is a bad tax to the system, and I don't want to nyx a good idea just because the site in theory can't handle it... it can't handle normal user traffic some days so idk anymore haha. This is a good idea.
I would love this so much.
It would be so helpful in organizing and selling my stuff. Transfer stuff at selling price points I want and not clutter my selling shop with items I don't want to sell at the current price. Right now things just sit forever in my vault, not being used and not being sold.

I would find this extremely useful.
I also agree there's no need to enable any kind of pricing functionality in galleries, but just being able to see what the going shop rate is would be so, so much more useful.
Conversely, if we could see this in Vaults, I'd 100% start using vaults more. Right now I ignore vaults because shops/galleries are still infinitely more useful for sorting/evaluating items.
Love Love Love
I can understand that showing the lowest price could slow down galleries loading, but oooohhh it was one of the main reasons I kept up with my GA, so very helpful deciding what to buy or sell. I don't do much of either now, so I'm saving sP, lol. Never felt the need to use the autoprice feature though.
I can see too how it could annoy some players with huge galleries to have that extra info if they don't want it showing. An option to turn it on/off would be very handy! Same with the item ID, that's not something I need though I guess it must be important to lots of people.
