I made a playlist of songs that make me think of one of my minor characters in my novel for this November...

Can't tell I'm just really pumped for my first NaNoWriMo or slowly driving myself insane...

Does anyone else do anything similar?

Or even have a soundtrack or something that you use to get in the writing mood?

When it comes to my characters I LOVE finding songs that suit them, be it personality wise or if it fits a scene or moment in their lives. I find it gets me excited and inspires me a heck of a lot.

Sadly I cannot listen to music as I write because my brain focuses on the music and I get distracted. XD

Ah yes! It is exciting!

Glad I'm not the only one to do this!

Most of the time I listen to non-vocal music or to songs in a language I don't understand for my inspiration.

I like also to read or hear some interesting or poetic text, but then without music.

That's cool too! Never thought of doing that. :O
