Hello! I have recently returned from a loong hiatus (so long, I lost my original username!!), and I was looking to maybe open some commissions.
Thing is, I think sP has changed in value quite a bit since I left, so I'm not really sure what I should be charging.
I would love values in sP, CSC, and USD if possible!
I will probably offer two options: the more typical pet art/overlay type thing, or an unshaded lil chibi dude. Here are some samples of both!
Pet Art/Overlays
(examples are kinda old, i sry)

Simple Doodle Thang (only one example)
like 25 usd minimum for the overlays maybe? ;; its so nice skdjgs!!!! idk if thats even a low estimate, because ive seen similar(ish) overlays go for like 7 usd but ive also seen them go for 40+ usd (depending on artist ocourse) and i just picked something in the middle. anyway artists who primarily would rather earn usd charge a 0.70 usd per 100 csc or 10 million sp conversion rate! so at 25 usd... about 3600 csc, or 360 million sP? c:

thank you! 25 would be around correct for the time I put in, so it would be lovely if people are willing to pay that. n__n I suppose I can also check out the art market and see what others are doing.
I am running into issues with my mac's retina display, though. :c For example, the second image of the pronghorn appears fuzzy and is about 50% larger than the "100%" (and much crisper) display in photoshop. Does it look like poor resolution on your screen, or is it just my display? (Could I trouble you at all for a screenshot of what you see? It's okay if you're not able to!)
sure thing hehe! ^^ the ones who can afford pay more always love paying a lot, so you should be able to do well. or you can try an auction for starters to gauge the price! (though if i remember right, auctions tend to go higher than average price, so whatever auction price should be bumped down later in the shop).
hmm it looks fine to me! here are 3 screenshots! first and second images separately, and the third has both at 80% zoom but its still pretty clear hehe. the only difference between the first and second that i can see is that the second is slightly lighter, but it also could be just me hmm :c

That's very helpful, thank you so much!
How do the other overlay type pieces look by comparison? For me, the black and blue pet just underneath the pronghorn also looks much crisper, even though it was done on a lower res computer. How does it appear to you? I don't need a screenshot, I can just take your word for it. :P
This whole retina display thing has going crazy, I might just make a thread in the help boards about it. D:
I'd be interested in a ping if you do a shop. I also agree with on pricing. Many price overlays around 20-25$ which is 2-2.5kcsc. not sure what sp conversion goes for atm, but it's normally 100csc = whatever it is currently in shops.
I love the first two examples because they're a bit more realistic I guess? And I generally go for that type of style haha. The blue I believe looks more crisp due to the design. The first is more realistic with the coloring. (If that makes sense...)
aaa i agree with HADES that the deer looks nicer and more realistic! ;-; as for crisp, i cant tell myself because both my phone and lappie have problems viewing stuff aaaa T_T

The images don't look fuzzy or blurred to me at any size. Instead they look overly crisp. Like over sharpened.
This just made me worry about how my own art looks on different monitors. -shudder-
Doubt it will help as it is not an issue with the programs as much as it is with the monitors themselves. http://sta.sh/09wayd3ugr4
Ahh, you're right. Looks the same as it did before, but that makes sense considering its a resolution issue. P:
Thank you either way! :'D
Aaah, thank you very much! Shading aside, do the two look the same regarding the lineart? That's my main concern. :c I don't feel comfortable opening commissions if everything I post looks fuzzy to me, but if it's JUST me, then I guess it's not a huge deal!
Also, I have a ping group! (It's (#)MiraArt). I'm thinking of opening up shop tonight, but I'm really REALLY low on free time (in fact, it's probably ill advised for me to open slots at all XDX so I will probably only open one or two).
