i noticed while in the wardrobe that the opacity on is darker when using the HA base without a prominent chest and lighter on the one that has a prominent chest (i discovered this while layering the tights over and then switching the base). i'm not sure if this is the case for any of the other items in the basic tights line but i thought i would point it out!

it looks to me like the F base version (left) doesn't have any shading, while the M version (right) does.

You know, I wondered about that. While I hardly ever use the M base (maybe I should more), I use the F base a lot, and I was like, "why do these tights look so... not right?" Like some kind of foreground filter in the shape of legs.... Now I know, it's the lack of shading. I hope that gets fixed soon. :(
