Hello everybody! Use this thread to discuss this year’s Alegarten! I ran the 2013 discussion thread (but it’s gone now due to the forums revamp), the 2014 discussion thread, and the 2015 discussion thread. I like to think that no one loves Alegarten as much as me. Maybe the staff that run it, but those are.. exceptions. :P

What is Alegarten? Alegarten is an annual celebration that lasts for 5 days, starting on the first of October. It is the Subeta version of Oktoberfest. You can read more about Alegarten on the Subetapedia page: http://subeta.net/subetapedia/index.php?act=ventry&id=99[/url]

When did Alegarten start on site? Looking through the news archives I can only find the earliest news about Alegarten from October 1st, 2008. (news post)

How can I dress for Alegarten? The wearables released in the Brewery Shop are appropriate Alegarten attire. If you still aren't sure, try looking on Google images of "dirndl" and "lederhosen". The is an Alegarten related costume trunk.

Why do we give Gunter beer? asked by in 2014 This is for the achievement "Drunk Gunter" in which you give Gunter 250 beer items (any item with the word beer), which is still achievable this year in 2016.

I thought I remembered quite a few Alegarten achievements last year, but when I poked around trying to find them, I could only find 2 for reading books. Are there any others that I'm just not finding? asked by in 2015

The achievements are hard to find because there's no alegarten section. I'll try to list the titles of the ones I can find (you can use the search to find them by title, but you can only search one word in the title, spaces make it not work)

Note: Alegarten usually starts on October 1st, this year it has been delayed by an extension of Keelhauliday, which ended October 2nd. There was scheduled Maintenance on the 4th.

Shop Guide

Prices may or may not be exactly correct, I'm not the best at math, even with a calculator... There doesn't seem to be many new items this year.

*Costs 41,740,000 sP to buy every single item this year. *Costs 715,000 sP to buy every new item.

*In 2016 All three shops began to be available simultaneously for the entire duration of Alegarten. *The shops are ordered by itemID, putting the newest items at the top in each shop. *There's a 30 second wait time in between purchases. *I recommend checking user shop prices first just in case the user shop is cheaper than the set price!

Gunter’s Selbstgebraute During Alegarten, if you pay 100,000 sP to join his group you will receive:

There is a new brew each month to buy from him, and if you join his group you will receive an alert when there's a new one.

...well I was all ready to be excited about shiny new Alegarten developments, but this is far more interesting. He killed his own brother over a brewery?! He needs to sort out his priorities.

Well... sounds like Gunther doesn't have any family any more...

But also can we keep it up with the dramatic backstories. It's like a delicious soap opera. Petition for the classic 'character's spouse died but they never found the body and actually they were alive all along'.

I disappear for a couple of hours and this thread delivers HARD CORE. More excited for Alegarten than ever now.
