I'm not sure how many are plagued by this problem..but for quite some time now(and haven't been able to figure out why.) I have been plagued by a 'double purchase' problem in the shops like Recycle Beast, Esthers, Menagerie/Lounge, Battle, Quest Shops, etc.. in fact in hopes of not being hit by it, I just bought a friend a gift from the RB shop and ended up with 2.

I'd honestly love to see a cart system put in place for these shops..sorta like the Cash Shops..

side note: I've tried removing all my customCSS, slowing mouse down, using my touch pad, etc and it still did it no matter what I chose(even the 2 browsers Ive always used)

Eek I thought they fixed the double purchase thing!

What they did before and it works best is implementing a very brief (like 1-5 second) hold between purchases. That way the system can't glitch and cause you to buy two. The system gets stopped by the coding itself, which denies purchases during the waiting period.

I haven't been hit with this issue in a while but I used to have it happen all the time in all the non-restocking shops... CS, event shops, etc. The last time - as far as I can recall - was November of last year when I tried to buy CWs during the Black Friday sale... Which I have not tried to do since. I think I've suggested - or at least implied - that a cart should be added to these special shops, not here but when I've reported the problem. I still think it would help. (Though at one point I was getting multiple erroneous purchases even from the CS cart; that could have been a mistake on my end since was near the start of all this mess and probably before I became so aware of how finicky the site can be.)

I tried everything I could think of. Removing customCSS, clearing my history, using different selection methods (regular left click, CTRL + left click, the tab button...), different mice, different browsers, even eventually a different computer. Nothing helped.

The timer fix didn't fix it for me, not at first. The thing that seemed to trigger an erroneous purchase was viewing the shop again. I remember one particular instance when the erroneous purchase didn't happen until 30 minutes later. This past year has been better and I think it's something they've coded in, but I still find myself being cautious about my purchases. Previously I would open two windows: one for my WL and one for the shop. I'd buy a few items I wanted, never back-clicking and never refreshing either window. Just paged through with the options presented in the shop and I used the little option at the bottom of item images to remove the items from my WL. Then I'd close my browser completely, wait a moment, open it back up, check my inventory, go to the shop, wait to see if anything was going to replicate, and repeat that process all over again. The important thing seemed to be not refreshing any of the pages on the browser while I was making purchases. It was annoying and time intensive. I still don't refresh pages and I usually close the browser after I'm done but at least I feel comfortable enough now to purchase larger amounts of items at a time.

In summary, if this is still a problem then I whole-heartedly support a cart being added to special shops. And I want them to make it so I can add CWs to my CS cart, but I'm not sure if that is entirely applicable to this suggestion.

I don't generally have this issue but I would appreciate the cart system nonetheless. Except it would probably have to work like the CS cart and limit the different amount of items per purchase and I would probably avoid using it anyway in that case. I buy all my event shop items at the same time, so buying them in groups of 10 would actually be less convenient lol

Right clicking on an item and choosing 'open in a new tab' or 'open in a new window' results in the purchase of one and only one item. This also has the advantage of avoiding the forced refresh if you purchase directly saving you time and processing. This is also saving your place in the shop if you are purchasing everything, systematically.

I'm with Darkrai on there being inconvenience either way. My response to this Suggestion is meh. Right click instead but okay.

I tried that. I tried regular left-click, CTRL + left-click, Shift + left-click, using the right-click to open it in a new tab, using the right-click to open it in a new window, carefully tapping on the button with a touchpad, tabbing through everything on the page and going forward with the purchase that way. I still would end up with duplicates and often triplicates. (I think I was among a small percentage of people affected by this issue that actually would get triple erroneous purchases. Fun times.) Each potential fix or work around seemed to help some people but it took forever - and multiple tickets plus a couple bug reports - before the issue was resolved for me... Well, at least it seems to be in the event shops. The CW thing happened to me a couple of months after I thought it was fixed because event shops hadn't been duplicating for me. Like I said, I haven't tried my luck on that since, primarily because I haven't been able to afford it. So, who knows if it's actually still a thing? -shrugs-

As happy as I am that I don't have to deal with this in all those shops all the time anymore, I don't think I'm ever going to be able to just casually enter into one of those shops and start making purchases, because I'm always gonna half-expect to get hit by the problem again.

When someone talks about how these fixes are inconvenient for them (like after the timer was implemented), I just sigh and shake my head. Not because I don't understand; I totally do. It's just that the process hasn't been "convenient" for me for years... I'm definitely a little envious.

[edit] I would like to add, for those still affected by this, that just because a work around didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't be the one that will work for you. Try the ones you come across, if you're up to it and/or if you haven't already.

I've tried the left click, open in new tab thing as well and its done the double buy as well..what's strange is the fact when I have bought several items from some of the shops(for example esthers after vesnali) it wouldn't double all the items I'd buy(it would avoid doing it on like 1 or 2 out of say 5 items Id buy)

I use right click but I do like the idea of a cart system
