username confirm feature

Is there a way a preview feature can be implemented when changing your username? Like something that says "that username is available, would you like to proceed?" something like that, so that when you change your username, but still unsure if you want it, you can see if it is available or not before confirming the name change. I haven't changed my username in a long time so I don't know if it already does this or not.

Eh, I don't really find this all that necessary. It's pretty easy to look up whether or not a username is free, and even if it's not, I imagine the page tells you that the username is taken if you try to change to it.
