hello! i've been refining my art technique/style, and i'd like to be able to take on commissions (i would only take on one slot at a time, since i have autism and anxiety, i can get easily overwhelmed if I have more than 1 thing to do!)

here are some examples of my pieces. i usually do either bust, or hip, but i could do full body!

rough painterly to hip rough painterly to hip refined rendering painterly to almost full body of my ha, ahaha! refined rendering painterly bust This was an art trade i did with !

another thing i am willing to do, is allow people to watch me stream the process! (you'll have to listen to my abysmal taste in """""music"""""")

so, if you could give me a ball park price, that would be wonderful! if i opened a shop, it would be a case to case basis, as i am uncomfortable drawing certain things! only human from me, demons and elves are A++++, and animal features (cat ears/tail) are fine, but i will not draw quad, or f urry/ an thro.

i realize i don't have any female character art displayed, since all the pieces i have shown, sans the trade with ravel, are all personal pieces pertaining to my characters.

you have a great style! personally, i think it's safer to price your art based on time spent. so how long do each of these usually take you?

honestly, its hard to judge how long it takes me, its all based on complexity!

yeah, that has to be taken into consideration as well. but let's say you decide you'll charge, say, $10 an hour, and it takes you half an hour to do a rough waist-up of a really generic character - then $5 will be your base price, and you'll charge more based on complexity.

$10/hour is a good starting point, ideally it should be more like $15 and more over time as you get better.

Hi friend!

I really like your art style - it's well-rendered, even when """sketchy,""" and projects a really solid attitude about it. are you looking for sP or CSC or IRL cash? any is fine, just trying to gauge what you were looking for!

sorry for the late reply!!! i had a bad few days .... but ahh based on that logic, my pieces can take from 2 hours to 6+, so I think 2 hours minimum. I'm not sure if I want to base my art on time taken, though, since looking through at other pricing tags/art blogs, people don't seem to use that formula. i'm sorry if this is rude!

thank you friend! honestly, i'd be looking for sP or CSC. IRL required paypal and thought and auugh. Plus, with the frequency that I'd be doing these comms, IRL just wouldn't be worth it.

totally fair!! and just so you know, basing the art on whatever you want is fine -- that's just a standard for artists looking to make a living off of their comms. I think he just wanted you to have a good baseline price for what you were doing, so you weren't getting cheated.

this is the basic conversion of IRL --> CSC --> sP $20 / 2000 CSC / 195m sP

and this guy seems to have pretty good prices, which you could tweak as you see fit

I'd say 15-20 USD is a fair price, if that's what you're really looking for -- but remember, it's all up to you.

not rude at all! that's just how i usually do it, if a different method serves you better, then by all means. good luck with your art shop!
