As I wrote the original post while sleep deprived an edit was in order.

I am a RP addict of sorts but I've never done much here on Subeta, however with the forums I routinely visit having grown slow I've decided to set up a recruitment topic here as well =)

Note: I plan to experiment with whatever RP results from this topic, what this means is I will be more outgoing when making certain decisions and at times what I write might come across as odd. Don't misunderstand me though, I put effort and time into whatever I write and this will be no exception.

While I don't have a plot in mind and hope to construct one with whoever is interested in RPing with me, there's a number of genres I've been interested in recently. First and foremost action, preferably centered around superheroes as I've accumulated a big number of such characters recently. For this I would prefer the setting to be modern with either the presence of advanced technology or the paranormal. Horror, preferably psychological or lovecraftian though I'm not against a certain amount of gore as long as it's not forced but fits into the plot. I'm always up for sci-fi, even more so for cyberpunk and other genres I might be interested in with a good story planed are steampunk, romance in combination with something and certain historic settings. What I will NOT play are slice of life, anything with much drama and at the moment fantasy.

Other than this it's useful to know I do not RP over email but only Skype or whatever forum I am recruiting on simply so I do not loose track of the RP. I play primarily male characters though I believe I can do well enough with other genders as well. While I can write longer posts I prefer to keep replies at around 300 words.

I’ll give you a general rundown, but on my profile, there is a link to more RP info and whatnot. Perusal strongly encouraged. And I’m not sure why I feel the need to do so but I’m going to go ahead and apologize for being me. Enjoy~ ❤️

In roleplays, I enjoy experimenting with new ideas including different writing styles, so I’ll need some leeway and forgiveness in that regard. It seems you may be the same so I think that’s going to work out well.

I enjoy world-building, character development, and plot twists. Big fan of story climaxes. Sometimes my overarching plots are weak/simplistic, in my opinion, but I try, and that’s about all I can say. Most of my stories are character-driven, to be honest, because it’s my stronger suit. Also, themes. My preference is for episodic RPs, occasionally where we may agree certain things may have occurred in the interim between episodes, through OOC conversations (because it’s annoying when someone writes a dozen posts detailing their character in a completely separate situation with no way for you to connect the two and expect you to not be incredibly annoyed.) Not into slice-of-life, normal things, or non-fiction in general. I tend toward weird fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, supernatural, reborn myth/legends, and the like; my tone is usually darker, lovecraftian, or strangely ambiguous. If any of that is a turn-off, let me know.

May have problems being TOTES SRS in RPs but then teasing fangirl goofball OOC so prepare yourself. Obviously, I take it seriously, but what’s the point if we’re not also having fun? ❤️

Most of the time I lose partners in the planning stages. I build and plan too much, or ask too many questions to make sure I get it all right, and that’s apparently off-putting. If this becomes bothersome, just tell me to STFU and write and stop being such a stickler. Seriously! I’m a big girl; I can take it. And sometimes I need that. Don’t just stop talking to me indefinitely with no explanation because that’s unfair. :c

Moving on. I am incredibly interested in something centered around superhero types, as you’ve mentioned, whether traditional or not and in a modern setting. I have a faint idea for a character that could fit a dark superhero + advanced technology setting depending on your character(s) of choice. Still, since he’s only a vague concept at present, I would love to shape him alongside the story we create. Otherwise, I have a lot of characters, and I’m sure one of them could, aha, fit your fancy.

As for RP mediums, it’s a shame we can’t have private boards on Subeta anymore, and a bigger shame that sMail is so buggy and limited. I have not roleplayed on Skype before, so just understand that is going to be a totally new experience for me. I used to RP on IMs all the time but it has been SO LONG. Definitely will need time and sympathy in regards to getting into that kind of pacing. Obviously, I may not be on every single day, or available to RP even when I am online but that seems like a silly thing to bring up because duh.

If we start to hash things out or discuss a direction and determine we’re not really meshing well, I have no problem parting ways. I would rather that occur up front or right now than be randomly dropped halfway through what I perceive is a good thing with no idea of what I’ve done wrong. I'm sure you feel similarly.
