Hi there, so I used to play neopets back in the day, and got the bug to check this type of thing out. This place looked a bit more interesting (and less-oriented towards kids).

I'm trying to learn the ropes, so any help is appreciated. Already struggling with my avatar. She should be in pajama type clothes, partially because comfy clothes rock and partially because not all the clothes I bought are showing up in the wardrobe? I also can't edit her hair color.

Anyway, this looks like a fun place to be, and I'm hoping the economy is a bit more stable. I've never been good at earning points on neopets, even with 700,000 I can't do much and that took ages. Hoping that here I can actually do more and earn more. Also maybe participate in forums and the community? I always avoided that part on sites like these

As another former neopet player, Welcome ^^ The community here is really friendly, and definitely more mature (most of the time) so don't be afraid to participate on the forums. The fastest way to earn sP is by doing the quests. Earning points is a lot easier here than on np. But as you've noticed, the wardrobe is a little bit buggy. With me it usually works ok, but it might take a while for clothes to show up. don't worry, you'll get the hang of it :) Also, you might wanna check out this guide if you haven't allready --> This one

I haven't played Neopets since...well, before all the big changes were made.

I prefer to make sP via questing and reselling a good majority of the items :)

Wow, this is a friendly place, I logged on to see presents! I've never gotten presents on a website before, I'll definitely have to spread the joy and send gifts to other new folks.

Thanks for the help, and I have been getting the hang of everything. I'm really liking this site, the plot idea, the questing, the economy, etc. I'm still getting a hang of things, but it looks like I'm on my way. I'd love to about people's opinions on investing time into certain site specific hobbies/collections.

I've never tried very hard with collections or things like that. I also noticed that I can bake things, which is really cool and I'd like to try. Are there other features such as this? Do any of you have a favorite hobby, such as following plots, designing your HA, collecting something, skills in baking or another feature, etc? If so why is it your favorite and how do you engage in it? I'm curious, and I also feel like I'm on a steep learning curve xD

Hey there! This place is absolute worlds better than Neo, oh my gosh. I found it in mid 2011 and quit Neo about two months after. People here are typically extremely kind, and anon gifts get thrown around a bunch, especially around the holidays (which we're just about to go into major holiday mode - there's a schedule here) and to welcome newbies! The economy here is a little odd, but the staff is always trying new (and sometimes fun/interesting) things to make it more stable, and overall it's much easier to get into than Neo - you can usually make ~5 mil a day or so if you do all your quests (not counting either Sarah or Saggitarius, depending upon how much sp you have). The user base is also generally much older than that of Neo - I'm 18, but I'm very much on the young side here and only know two other users that are my age, and no one younger. The general age range seems to be like early twenties to mid-thirties, but of course, there's still a fair amount that fall outside that. Baking is a really neat feature that's actually quite a recent addition! It's fun but kind of expensive right now. There are a lot of cool things to explore on here, I'm not super sure where to start! I'm definitely an avatar person when it comes to hobbies on here - I'll mess with things in the wardrobe for literal hours sometimes, and collecting clothes is quite a task when there's as many as Subeta's got! I have ~15k things in my wardrobe at this point, but am still constantly finding new things that I end up needing for outfits (like not long ago at all, I found a scarf with a lightning pattern that matches some CW tights super well). The salon is rather weird right now because it's only a color picker, it used to be where you could manually input hex codes and will hopefully go back to that soon, but salon hair is still very useable and cool - I think I used that same hairstyle for a while back when I first started, aha.
