Our team's forum group for this event is private, and we have it set up so admins have to approve all members who want to join. I hadn't realized until now how awkward the process is.

Right now, it goes like this:

1. Get an alert saying someone wants to join your group.
2. Follow the link in the alert, which takes you to the main page for your group.
3. Click "view all members" (which isn't an obvious step if you've never done this before)
4. Search the list to find pending approvals, which are placed between your group's admins and regular members, and don't stand out well.
5. Multiple approvals? You're taken to the main page after each acceptance, so you have to navigate back to "view all members" repeatedly.

It could be so much simpler. Imagine this:

1. Get an alert saying someone wants to join your group.
2. Follow the link to a page that lists only pending approvals, and accept them. Approvals are processed via javascript, so you can quickly approve multiple people without moving between pages.

Boom. Done. No extra steps, no searching a page of 300 members for the hidden approval links, no confusion.

That explains why I got an error page. Got pinged for the AU group to a private board despite being a member of the group. ;P

But yeah. The new forum groups are supposedly intended to replace the old, outdated cults feature. It only makes sense to streamline this and make it easier to use, so this gets my full support.
