"You dont really have a house so these items have no use, yay"

I think this spoils the pretence that Subeta is a real world. There are a lot of humans supposedly living on this planet and they'll have houses needing furniture. :)

What if we actually don't have houses and sleep in our cars?

Where do we buy cars from? There's no car shop. :D

I've actually been trying to figure out how to gracefully approach this for a pet story. Because obviously we don't have accessible houses, and most of the NPCs don't have houses (but I mean it's not too far of a stretch that they could live in/upstairs/downstairs from their shops), but surely we have to live somewhere right?

So far the best I've come up with is pre-furnished apartments. It doesn't seem all that plausible but if you look at the different lands on the map, there are plenty of unused buildings that could hold apartments.

We live in Hobbit Holes in Veta.

Of course there are houses right? We, as citizens of subeta, would have houses were we live with pets.

Kind of like how in video games there are only five houses in the entire city. The developers just don't build cities. They build a small select amount of houses. Except in this case the artists just don't draw the houses and the insides of the houses we do have.

What would Jo say instead? Something snarky? Most people don't enjoy retail.

I always kind of saw it as there are houses throughout Subeta and all the lands, and it depends on which land it is, the type of house. Each land would have specific buildings and styles of architecture and I don't know, to me that sounds pretty cool.
