I thought it was time that I finally address this problem because I reeeally can't stand my human avvie not having a mouth! I returned to Subeta a few weeks ago after being inactive for awhile(apart from logging in to check things out and zap my pet every now and then). I've read up that Wardrobes have apparently updated...but mine is in stuck mode on the previous version I suppose?

When I go to Personal > Wardrobe, this is what the page shows :

So my questions are ...

1. If I click any of the "choose this set" buttons, will my avatar's clothing be replaced with those items?
2. Will I LOSE the items my avatar is currently wearing - or will they be present in the new wardrobe for my using?
3. By clicking the "choose this set" button, will my wardrobe automatically update to the new version?
4. Will I have to change my avatar's face/hair/nose/mouth/etc all over again? (I assume yes, but I just thought i'd confirm...)

I just really don't want to lose the clothing my avatar is wearing right now...i've no idea what the items are called, and I don't want to spend tons of money to buy them all over again. ;___;

@ honor Those item sets are just a free gift :) I think they'll go to your inventory and you can then move them into the wardrobe or do whatever you like with them.

And edit, just to emphasize: everything you've put into your old wardrobe should be in your new one too. Just pick one of the free sets and you can access your wardrobe to check that ^^

I think they actually go straight into your wardrobe, not your inventory. But no, you shouldn't lose anything or have your current HA be replaced by one of the clothing sets. I'm not completely sure about having to re-choose hair/mouth/etc. because I very rarely use the default options or hair salon, but I don't think you should have to.

Oh, it was so long ago since we got those sets I forgot they might go straight into wardrobe. Other than that, they are just normal items, tho (can be sold and stuff).

I think what you need to do (once you're in the wardrobe) is to drag your facial features (like nose and mouth) above your base layer. ...unless you want to use items for those, instead of the basic features ^^

you probably joined Subeta a long time ago? I know I was pre-HA where your avatar could be anything. Anyways, back then when the HA was first introduced, you didn't get free clothes when you joined. After a few years of them doing this free clothes thing some of us old timey users were wondering where these cheap starter set clothes that we were buying came from. We were also wanting the Sparklepire and Cheerleader sets which had item images and were searchable, but had not been released.

When they finally did release those sets, everyone who had been a member beforehand got to choose a set. They went into the Inventory back then when we were using the original pre v2 Wardrobe. I hear like what said that for new players it goes directly to Wardrobe v3 now. And this is what is oddly being forced upon you whether you want it or not.

AHHHH that's so relieving. I really was afraid i'd lose my items because I have what seems to be an old version of the Wardrobe. ;_; It's cool anyhow that I get some random free items, aha. And now I finally get to add a few newer bits and boops to my future Glade-themed HA!

I joined sometime in 2011! I dressed up my HA Glade-themed sometime after that and she's been the same ever since (to match my favourite pet - Pep). I was a member even before 2011, but because of my inactivity, my account was deleted. ;o;

Ahhhh wow that's really interesting. So was correct about the inventory thing! It's too bad that you MUST update, but it would make sense that we have to because obviously not all the features work with the old wardrobe (for example....where did my mouth go....)

you are welcome! Sorry your old account was deleted, that was the thing back then, but also welcome back. Do you remember back when HAs automatically had white underwear firmly attached?

The change in Wardrobe was forced by changes in industry standards behind the browsers needed to make Subeta work.
