I don't know what to say... locking items in the inventory is already a way of protecting items from accidentally deleting them/donating them/etc., so I honestly don't see the point for a 'pouch'.
How would this work differently than say vault categories?
I think this would be a nice idea for mental peace of mind for people like you and I, who love organization. However, since you can technically lock items or just put them in vault tabs, people are just gonna shoot this down. :(
Mmmm, I'm dreaming of nice little compartments in the inventory now, though. I'd personally like it. :)
I mean, if you switch immediately from buying up baking ingredients to questing without clearing your inventory, that's kind of on you for not clearing your inventory. Unless you usually go directly to your inventory to grab any quest rewards you might want to keep, you'll have to sort your inventory after questing anyway.
I just don't find this necessary, I think it just overly complicates things when you could just chuck stuff in your vault or a gallery instead and have the items auto-stack into categories.
To combat this exact scenario, I made a gallery that I could shove such items in there, called it my "Bag of Holdin'" I use it for mostly TC hoarding atm until I get around to organizing those
... Then I made another gallery called "RingDangaDong" ~mostly for the holidays when we get random items (as I am a serial zappist and don't want my goodies to become dust ;-;)
I usually just shove my scroll making shit in my vault and search that for the necessary ingredients...
... And I suppose another gallery will be for my baking items when I start that endeavor
I dunno, the QS functions are (literally) quick and easy but if something random that I didn't need/want to be in those item pools happens to find it's way in there I usually find it p quickly and remove it if I even choose to bother shrugs
TL;DR: I dunno....I want to support this suggestion.... maybe we can have MORE LOCKED ITEMS UNDER A SPOILER TYPE SITUATION IN OUR INVENTORY AND THESE CAN BE PURCHASED 5EVER (PERMANENTLY) OR RENTED IN A SIMILAR FASHION TO THE WARDROBE LAYERS??!?!?
Personally I'd be into this suggestion. I play gw2 a lot, and there you can have 'Invisible Bags' which mean that the items there just don't show up on the trading post / sell to vendors. I think this would be nice for when you are questing and could just quickly go through your inventory to pocket the items you don't want to quick stock (since it doesn't show pictures and with well over 20k? items onsite) I cannot be smart enough to remember what each name = item wise.
I would support this option, 'cause I would use it..but I don't think it is that necessary. It would be nice to have, though.

I would support the idea of having an option to hide items in your inventory with an 'Click here to unhide all your items!".
The hidden items would be grayed out and would not appear on the quick stock page.
And the hide button could just be a button next to the locket. Hidding an item wouldn't safe it from random events - it would just stop them from showing up while quickstocking and maybe even creating a new trade.
That would be my idea.
i genuinely don't know the backend of things, but i could personally get a lot of use out of this concept- or simply having manual categories in the inventory (like drawers in the wardrobe). or even just more locked spaces. it would be a nice quality-of-life little boost to have say 15/20 locked items available in place of 5/10.
HOWEVER, on the other hand, the problem this all stems from imo is simply that the vault is a little lackluster in terms of it's UI/user-friendliness at the moment. I personally use a gallery the same way that does, in place of the vault, though it does slow things down a little when you're wanting to do multiple things at once.
I like this idea! I would definitely use the pouches. I vend a lot, so I have a lot of items in my inventory.
Without a gold account, you can only lock 5 items. Vault categories are OK, but you have to click on each item to put it in a category, after clicking to put in a vault. I have a feeling inventory pouches would be less work.
And I feel like this would be very confusing for the quick stock page. I do support more lock spaces though, now that it's been brought up
I'd just love a better way to sort/move around the junk from my inventory. Quickstock is nice and all for mass moving but not when you have multiple sets of items that go into different areas.
It's so annoying when I stop and think over how much time I spend just loading pages to sort items. Nine items go into this shop, two into that shop, four into yet another shop, five go into my vault, these twenty need to stay out so I can price them for fragging, the rest go into the main shop...
