There was a really great thread from last year with lots of awesome suggestions, Some of which I would love to see still. So since morostide is once again upon us, I thought maybe I would create this thread to help give staff some more ideas on what we might like to see this year. The thread from last year is here
edit
So we need some dark and spooky suggestions, Staff has let it out of the bag that they plan on not doing anything cutesy really and leaning towards dark and spoopy this year :D SO MUCH EXCITE!
More creepy, obscure hospital tools/things. More apothecary bottles. Spooky shadow backgrounds. BONES. Human and animal. More retro/old fashioned candy (ribbon candy, caramels, licorice gum, clove gum, malted milk balls, necco wafers, sesame snaps, lemon drops, root beer barrels, chocolate covered peanuts)
More Jaxon and Ian.
There, I said it.
Also, now that the Apothecary is up and running again, I'm hoping for more Apothecary items - largely items that will use up the 1238412397 layer card types we have and yet don't do anything with. Werewolf hands and ears! Godzilla spines! Zombie bits falling apart in the foreground! There are so many cool potential wearables out there...
Scarecrows, both cute and terrifying. We build giant, super creepy 'corn dollies' for our yard every year, towering figures made with dried corn stalks and long, scary branches for hands with black shrouds and flickering eyes. I'd love to see something like that as either a curse or a background element.
Some new borders for HAs, teeth, claws, bloody dripping, viscera, webbing.
Masks like THESE
I want dresses. Short and long.
Silly/childish masks.
A resurgence of the Goffic line- new versions, more obnoxious color combinations. Please. These have skulls on them, These are invisible, you could take the Black Goffic Pants and make the trim any bright color. Or use the pet color schemes, like Nuclear, Vibrant, Storm... And of course jackets to match.
"Apple Cider & Donuts" themed things. Shades of red from strawberry blonde to nearly burgundy, and some light browns. Leggings/tights, high socks, button up tops, jeans w/ patches. Maybe even a background, like this unless we already have one (in which case, where?!)
Really really translucent scary faces for layering with a background. A few different ones, so we can place them differently. Maybe some looking straight out, some looking at the avatar.
Dead flowers. Wilting flowers. Held or on the ground.
Would love to see other lands takes on Morostide. Spooky beach items from Delphi, spirit and offering themed items from Shengui Guo, ancient ritual stuff and mummies from the Saherimos, etc.
[edit] OH and Omen Islands voodoo stuff please. <3
More bloodred pets to be honest. Bloodred Noktoa yes ;w;?
I'd love to see more items similar to this as well:

White pumpkins, crows, spiders, shadow items, cute and spooky jester costumes, masquerade masks (even though we already have a mask event..), oversized witch hats, candles, mushrooms.
Also in a way, I'd like to see people from the Carnival participating in the events.
Scary items that go nicely in treasure chests.
I'm definitely in the mood for something like this as well.
Items used in 17th century magic/witchcraft; silver sixpence, bent pins and nails, stones with natural holes in them, iron objects, animal hearts, witch balls, witch posts, witch bottles.
A buncha animal skulls (either subeta pets of real world animals).
I've been listening to a lot of Agatha Christie stories recently, so I'd love to see some 1930s/40s style murder mystery novels. The more contrived the solution, the better.
There are probably already some solid plans for the rag dolls, but I like to see some characters from anime series make an appearance. I don't think there have been any so far.
And a plot to kill the Gullum from Pina Park.
MY FAVOURITE TIMeee! It's the only holiday I care about nowadays. I like Lumi but meh, not the same vibe.
I'll re-pick some of my last year suggestion!
That's all I have for now. I'll be back 8) I really love the ideas so far.
I think I posted this in another topic but I would like to see the rubber monster masks and gloves revisited, revamped, and expanded on.
I'm always up for more bones, candles, general necromancy/alchemy stuff.
I went to Micheals the other day and saw some adorable Halloween spools of ribbon. One was light brown and had witches legs in alternating colors. It's hard to describe it but it was cute. I don't think we have any ribbon spools as far as craft supplies go, so maybe the image could be the spool and on the HA it could be a belt or a hair piece. Or it could be a wig with the ribbon incorporated in it.
The fleece throws in spooky patterns.
Seemingly normal backgrounds with spooky things hiding in them.
--Not HA related but--
-Jars filled with body parts. Different heads, teeth, feet, etc. Maybe different pet parts too? -Pumpkin/apple spice plushies/beanbags to mirror the gingerbread/peppermint ones we get during Lumi. -Glittery decorations -Jackolantern bell peppers -Seconding the rice crispies with candy and adding rice crispies in fun shapes/colors like ghosts and bats -These -Dolls. We don't have a lot of dolls on site and many of the ones we do have are more like Barbies than the other kinds of dolls. Not like kids dolls that pee their diapers or American Girl dolls but the old collectable kinds. They can be purposely spooky like Dahllie or just regular collectable dolls that are kind spooky on their own right. -I thought mourning portraits were interesting. -Scary paintings -They're remaking IT. So scary clowns. Could tie in to the Morostide throughout Subeta thing. Like the Carnival is full of scary clowns. Or a haunted house. -Minion?
More cat things and I like someone's mention above about Dinosaur things, skulls, etc. Not picky and honestly never give it much thought, but cats and dinosaurs I do rather like.
I want more of an event this year. Maybe apple bobbing, or a haunted maze! Also more alien stuff, there's a lot of great goth stuff in here, but I love when it references scifi books and movies.
Pinging you so you can subscribe to this since it helped out last year :)
