I have some serious trouble beating the Hustler for my Battle Quests. Used all my skips today, and got him all three times. Any advice on beating him? My main is a T8. I very seldom get lucky and have my Recycle Blaster actually do anything. Is he an an opponent I'd have better luck freezing?

Level: 523 Strength: 1301 Defense: 1291 Health: 1391/1391 Speed: 1297

My set is still under improvement, so any advice y'all have is appreciated. The ones I use most are: [item2=V-Nuke] [item2=Recycle Blaster] [item2=Twisted Rift Blade] [item2=Rapier of Error] [item2=Phoenix Quill]

Radiation is finished! Sorry if I get confused sometimes, I just had brain surgery!

Thank you for all the kind thoughts and wishes while I'm in the hospital again!

Your Speed is up where it needs to be. Using Healers and such is pointless on this chap, I know I've tried. Blockers can really help a bunch, I manage to beat him with these in my set:

I don't use Recycler Blaster for Hustler. Blasting his weapons is pointless imo because he has such a wide range of weapons that disabling one does not amount to anything. For this one I use: to steal one of his weapons. would be better since it allows you to steal 2 weapons from him, but it's pretty pricey so I find KT Ring a more viable option. I recommend getting one of those freezers. is for sale in the battle shop. I also recommend an additional clutch healer. does offer a bit of defense in addition to 90% healing, so it's worth buying. If you can't afford it yet, having a may also come in handy because it heals 1000 HP and can be useful in your situation, considering your pet's health is in the low 1000-ish range. A full blocker is recommendable for this guy too. is a less expensive option to . If you're saving up for it, you can equip a per battle as a full block, though the cost might add up quite quickly after many battles. can be used as a partial block (blocking 75 icons for 7 out of 9 icon types) but it does come with a penalty of reducing 5% of your pet's health. You can patch up one of the holes in its defense by using a corresponding shard (light or dark). You can also equip lots of for a better chance of chain-freezing him each round. They're not expensive to make.

My set for battling him (since tier 8) is as follows:

Not the best option for him, I guess, but it did its job so I keep sticking to this set till now. For scrolls I use some of the scrolls recommended by the previous poster, in addition to and a handful of

My strategy for beating him is to freeze him first round, then steal his weapons. If I'm lucky enough to steal his , 90% of the time he's doomed if I pair-use the spork with a full healer, such as the phoenix quill or Reviver of the Lion. If your pet's health is low and if he freezes you or reduces your health to around the 300HP mark, I suggest that you quit the battle, heal up your pet's HP to full by beating one of the weaker guys in the Coliseum before heading back to battle with him again. If you can chain freeze him with your ice-based weapons and whirlpool scrolls, then your chance of beating him will be improved. It's luck based though, so it's up to you to 'feel' whether the battle is in your favour.
