Hope everyone participates, I suck with Quidditch but I'll try my best.

Well I will work on it more...but I know I would love to see the as a mascot! Or maybe the Al-mi'raj?

I know both have roots in Europe...and while they are both bunnies...I know for a fact the Al-mi'raj is quite vicious...I plan to work on this a bit more...

I like those mascots, especially the Al-mi'raj. One thing I didn't get is, we have to do an HA of the mascot too or not? I have to re-read the rules

I am a fan of the almiraj too...I know they have a variety of european jackolope (antlered rabbit) and a skvader (winged rabbit) too...but I dont think they are vicious and the almiraj.

I also need to reread the rules...and I could pull up more info on the mascot...make sure I see where the legends are and such as I know they try and bring homeland animals...

I will try find something as well. Should we all try posting an HA here and then decide which we like most? I have no idea how to approach this group activities. lol

If we're deciding on the Al-mi'raj, maybe our team can be situated in Aberdeen. So we'd be the Aberdeen Al-mi'raj.

We need to decide on colors though for our uniform. Then we can just have people make HAs and we'll just pick the best 7.

I think that would be best....I will (a bit later as Im trying to get my questing in) make a list of potential beasties from both Britain and Ireland sense it seems focused on there...maybe we can also decide on colors to go with for the team? I dont know how much it matters...but I know the transylvanian team had supernaturals as well on their team...it makes you wonder would there be "otherkin" on our team as well...I know (as painstakingly as it is) we will have to crossreference with the other teams to make sure our mascot is not in use.

you beat me too it...but I love the Aberdeen Al-mi'raj...the question is does the animal necessarily have to be from there? and I can make not that the almiraj fur was known to be golden...so maybe something in a yellow/gold hue?

YES! I forgot about the colors!! I won't make any HA till more people comment and give opinions, if not then we will work with what we have. Do we have to have one or two mascots? I'm still confused if its one team or two. I really don't know anything about this game, bare with me. lol I like that name, but we must make sure our mascot is not taken. I'm researching now and see if I find anything interesting.

It also doesn't have to an animal. Like Tutshill Tornados, Caerphilly Catapults, Stonewall Stormers, etc.

Yeah, I made sure the mascot isn't taken and that the city doesnt have professional team already in canon. Also, it's one team, one mascot =)

Sounds good to me then. Then maybe the team colors can be yellow/golden and black?

Garrett trudges over to where the coffee station is, and makes himself a cup. He has been listening to the discussion about the Aberdeen Al-mi'raj, and thinks it's a good one. Maybe after his coffee he will let people know that, right now he just wants to sit down.

I was thinking that the HAs should at least use the same chest item (maybe bottom, too) since it is a uniform. Base feature, accessories, and everything else can be different to add personality. What do you think?

yes they can definitively have a few items in common but not all to give them individuality and freedom. I think a chest item could define them as a team, maybe not the bottoms but yes the same color in them?

I like where we are going with this...I like the colors as the horn of the Almiraj has said to be black as well...(Yellow/gold and black) and the beastie is definitely not a weakling so we have a mighty mascot

I will look into gold items...didnt they come out with a hufflepuff quidditch robe? maybe we could use that as a base...
