A couple of suggestions that will help with ease of use:

- Indicator to show whether thread has been read before Right now we have indicators only to mark whether a thread has had new posts since you last read, regardless of whether you have ever read the thread or not. We used to have indicators in green/yellow to mark if we have read the thread before, but this was lost in forum transition. This is a great feature for boards such as Advertising, Art Market, etc. where people would like to keep track of new CWs, artist shops etc, instead of re-clicking and checking the same ones

- Way to view last post, rather than last read or OP IE. If somewhere such as post number links to the most recent post This is helpful in cases of long running boards (which we have many of now, such as BCC, Achievement Support + Chat, Chit Chat groups, etc.), with threads like this often the first post does not have much relevance to the newest content, and you may not have viewed the thread for a few days/weeks so wherever you last viewed is also irrelevant.

- Bring back 'Comment' button We used to have a way to directly comment users from their forum post, this was a really handy feature!

- When an alert is sent for a forumgroup ping, have the link go to the forumgroup Currently when you click on the alert ping group, it sends you to the main forum page. Don't know if this is intentional or a mistake, but it's counter-intuitive and makes for difficult ping management.

Other user input:

-Bring back forum search If there is a way to bring back forum search without killing servers, eg. GA perk, limited time frame for search/limited quantity of search, etc.

-Bring 'Recent Posts' feature To make it easier to find new/current ongoing topics

-When forumgroups disband, show the # ping tag When ping groups delete, show the please! by

Yes to all of this! Though I am still hoping there is a way we could have forum search back in a way that wouldn't be as server killing as it was.

The forum search function was really useful for finding older threads that were still active, but yeah, it killed the servers. If there was to implement a non-forum killing version I'd be all for it too. Anyway, ditto to agreeing on implementing all these features.

I miss the forum search, I also wish they would bring it back.

These are all good ideas.

What I miss most, even more than search (because I just use google for that) is the most recent posts table. It was quite useful, especially because many of the forums move so slowly I only check certain ones weekly and so something can sit there with no response for quite a while.

I did like the most recent posts function and would love to see it return. Even if it wasn't that constantly updating table but more like, say, a static list of the last 5 posts that were made when the page was loaded. I have no knowledge of coding, so I'm not sure if that would be more feasible , but it'd be nice.

I'd love to get more social on the forums, but they move pretty slowly and sometimes I'm just more interested in finding where people are actively talking.

Anything that makes it easier to find where active conversations are happening so I can post for forum points is a yes in my book.
