Just entered the ha contest. I feel like the ha I entered would do better with a description. I was thinking up a story in my head as I was creating it and I would have liked to have had a place to put it, just a short blurb.

AGREED. I've seen some other people ask about / suggest this and I also wish it could be done. I don't get why all the other formats allow a description- drawing, sculpture and the writing itself is the description, but NO explanations allowed on the HA entries??? They want you to get creative but really you have to do something pretty generic looking like obviously hiking through the forest in order to get your point across (imo) or else people might not know what you're trying to portray.

EXACTLY. Mine is more of a...fantasy theme, I guess you'd call it. It isn't 'set' in this world anyways, so I'm not sure people will understand it. I just didn't want to go with the whole 'hiking' thing. I do wish they had a kayak item though. I love me some kayaking.

I agree, had to totally change my first HA once I realized that without a description it wouldn't make sense.

RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
