so the game just came out yesterday and my fiance' and i bought ourselves a copy :D so far it's really neat and hard to put down! XwX;

how's everyone's playthroughs going? run into already named planets yet? explore new solar systems? find intelligent life?

so far my favorite thing is discovering new words- i dunno- it's really exciting picking up a new word from one of those strange contraptions or from a local :D

I'm just getting to grips with the game myself. It's been interesting so far. Exploring my first planet. Making friends with the local wildlife. Looking forward to see how it progresses. :)

I really like it too, have progressed a little bit and it really gets addicting finding new planets and animals. But I miss a map function on the planet. Would love to see a map which shows me where I already discoverd some stuff and maybe show trading posts I found. I´m also really curious what new content we will get with future updates!

I wanted to play it, but after I found out they capped it at 30 fps on PC I lost interest. I still like watching other people play it though.

I'm looking forward to getting it, I've always loved exploration games.

I love it! I've been playing a few hours just about every day. lol. I really like exploring.

my game kept crashing so hopefully the newer patch fixes it! 😖

mine keeps crashing too. but it's a new game, so all kinds of glitches are going to happen.

and i hop from planet to planet until i find a pretty one. lol.

i can imagine you hopping like: -starts to get off ship- "oh what's thi-NEVERMIND" -gets back in ship and leaves forever 😭

My game keeps freezing up and a minute later I get a "something has occurred" ps4 error. :(

That has happened. lol. One time the planet was dark and completely barren and I immediately got hit with acid rain! No thank you.

- that sounds awful! D: my fiance' and i played it for a whole weekened (he has the pc version) and my game out of nowhere started to crash. and crash. and crash and crash and crash to the point where i can't even get into the game because it'll just crash on me when i start to do something :/

bwahahaha! some of those planets were a real trip! what was your first planet like? mine was mild climate, gek territory, no hostiles. it was a good way to dip my feet in! my fiance' however was being slowly irradiated and critters kept attacking him xD poisonous to boot!

i'm pretty okay about multiplayer not being a thing in NoMS. like i'd want to follow someone around- WTF IS THAT OVER THERE!? I GOTTA SCAN IT AND DESTROY IT FOR ITS RESOURCES!!!

my first planet was really lovely too! my husband's first was super toxic and I think it soured him a little on the game. My entire first system was a dream. My second planet was all bright pink and gorgeous. (That's my favorite color.) I can't recall if it was still that system or the next but I also had a beautiful bright blues and greens with red accents planet. I loved that one too. The one I just finished up on was kind of a lot of yellow, with both land and water, but not so much water that I had to swim too much.

I'm not usually much for multi player anyway, unless I can play with my husband. Diablo iii is about the only multiplayer thing I play anymore. I used to play WoW, but I was fed up with the drama and fits adults in their 40's would do.

awww, you play with your lover too? 😊 that's so awesome! those colors all sound so different and nice! ❤ yeah, my first solar system went easy on me (and i somehow got a marriage proposition from a korvax? it was bizarre lol) and he had horrible planet after horrible planet. he's a really good sport though and likes a challenge. besides a tropical earth-like planet and a planet that i assume looked like antarctica (never been to antarctica lol) it was mostly planets with red land and yellow sky.

lost a buddy to play it with; he'd bring his tv over and we'd compare games and planets. i didn't read into the game beforehand with all the features it was supposed to have. okay, so the creator lied about the stuff that would be included and i guess getting to the center of the universe was anticlimactic as all get out, so my buddy was all bootyhurt and doesn't want to play anymore 😩 i can't do that. i like to go in with little to no expectations and here i am; unphased and fine (aside from the fact i can't play xD )

those mmo's are serious business though. like, a good amount of people put all their time into 1 or two games and forget that it's all in good fun 😔

same over here. a good game for me now is a game i can beat with my fiance'. either a strategy game where we collaborate or compare (until dawn, civilization IV, pokemon, sims, the fallout games , or a solid co-op (borderlands, super mario galaxy, left for dead, ffxiv, saints row IV)

i always have games i'm in the middle of or want to replay, but i've been really itching to get back on playing no man's sky in particular. was working on getting the upgrade to the hyperdrive so i could jump through multiple solar systems. 😣
