I have 4,990/5,000 characters according to two different sites. (Subeta and my writing program, which is 100% accurate.) But when I press submit, it immediately shifts the counter to 5,000/5,000, and cuts off in the middle of the last sentence of my story.

I can provide screenshots if needed, but I don't know if it would be giving anything away before judging since I'm not sure if it's anonymous or not.

I've already had to cut it down so much due to the low limit, and I really don't want to have to cut another sentence due to an incorrect counter.

EDIT:

This has gone unaddressed for over a week, and there is ONE day left in this contest. Destiny has been trying to help get this fixed, but it is NOT FIXED. The counter is STILL OFF. I cut my story down even more, to 4,971 characters, and it's STILL changing the counter to 5,000 when I hit submit and cutting off the last sentence.
