It happened to me twice already, thankfully I got them back from a very nice users (thank you!) I had an item that costs 4mil but it was autopriced to 4 sp I don't know to how many items it happened, so far I got only two items back.. but I'm pretty sure I lost a lot of sp due to this mispricing.. I can't check 6 shops everyday with 1k+ items.. and I started with 6 shops that had 2.5k item each.. so yeah maybe I lost a lot of sp and I can't even know or check.. Please fix it :)

It might be people undercutting the prices to get high end items cheap.

Example:

I put something worth 6m in my shop, and someone else has it. They price it at 600k, knowing you'll auto price, and they'll buy yours and re-price theirs for 6m.

but to 4 sp!? people are really mean to do that?! isn't it cheating?

I don't mind if it was 400k.. but 4 sp it's too much..

I'm sure staff can check and see who it is, but I'm sure it would be lots of logs to go through.

I'm sure there could have been various reasons, I've been pricing items before, and have hit enter, and everything gets all messed up, maybe they were quitting, I'm not too sure.

It may very well have been something with the autopricing rather another user.

it's this item Green Sixth Anniversary Plushie there are many that costs 4mil.. so I don't know if it's this case.. I'll file a ticket to let them check it too.

The autopricer did it on the first days of the new shops I think..

Thanks for your help! :)

To be honest I've always wondered about the same thing.... I am not someone who does this, but isn't it legal to undercut even this much, technically? Or is somewhere stated that this isn't allowed?

And I can totally share your frustration. To be honest, I noticed that this happened to a Neela Elixir that I bought (maybe around 1 1/2 weeks ago). Because I just returned after a VERY long hiatus, I was too noobish to realize it at that time so I only bought one which I needed for my pet ... it was probably around 600k (and there were quite a few of them), now it is back to 20m again.

In my own shop, it happened to me only once so far (thank god). Now I always glance through the prices when I auto price. I also do not auto price very expensive items and put them in a separate shop.

This is why I used to set my shop to gallery and then autoprice, That way I could check (by sorting) for abnormally low numbers, correct any mistakes, then set it back to a shop.

Unfortunately we can't do that anymore.

Also, its NOT against the rules to price any item in any way in your shop.

Finally, I don't know if this is still a problem in the new shops, but in the old shops if you entered "4,000,000" (instead of 4000000) your price ended up being 4 sp, because the shop pricing system ignored anything after encountering a non digit (in the example, that's the comma).

I was testing this theory as was posting it, and the problem doesn't appear to be with commas: however, if there is someone using periods/full stops as commas, it's not reading any number after that (4.000.000 becomes 4).

Thanks for the clarification.

I did vaguely remember reading something about this issue and the commas being fixed, but thought that anything else entered might still be a problem, as you've discovered.

No problem. I remembered that as well and tried with the comma first. It appeared to ignore the comma and price accordingly, but then I thought I had run into a caching issue (hence why I waited to post for a bit). When I tried with the period/full stop, it cut the price immediately.
