You could lighten the load on the trades if you simply allowed users to set up a shop where they could charge CSC instead of sP. I have no idea if this is doable -- what coding changes it would require -- but it seems like an easy way for users to ask for CSC for items rather than having to set up a trade for each individual item. I know lots of people lump multiple items together, but as a shopper, I usually bypass those. I don't want the hassle of having to contact the seller and ask about prices.
I'd be ok with adding an auto-accept feature to trades, where people can choose to either buy your item for a set price, or make a lower offer. And maybe put a limit on it, so you can only have ~5 active trades like this at any time.
I don't really like the idea of bringing CSC into regular shops, because that functionality (being able to set a price and just leave the item until it sells) keeps sP unique. Otherwise why not just price everything in CSC and let CSC take over as the main site currency?

I feel like if you could set a csc price, many items would be removed from the sP market and prices would rise, also increasing the demand for csc and prices of csc would rise. I'd only support this if you could accept and sP price and a csc price, requiring an sP price.

true, but that would be a really tedious thing to do especially if people autoprice.
maybe the better idea here is to limit that type of shop to CWs only. no reason to have quest items costing csc.
I would do it for cash shop items only. open market for csc prices can make things very messy imo
I'd only like to see this for CWs, since those are something that typically stick to the realm of CSC (sometimes they get sold for sP but usually it's for a conversion of CSC to sP prices).
That said I'd really really like to see that for CWs, if it was possible. Typically they get lost in trades after the first few pages and taking them out/putting them back in is a pain in the butt, and depending on the sellers activity and/or if trades are in bulk (like, 600 csc each comment to separate) then potential sells possibly get skipped. Not to mention the ever constant mention of users wanting to see trade filters (like everything, no CWs, only CWs, etc).
I'd really love to just take the CWs I don't want anymore and put them in a shop and let them just be there until I change my mind or they sell.
I would like it only if it were for reselling a custom wearable or a cash shop item.

Yeah, we actually coded this out a few months ago after the new shops were released and just aren't happy with what it would do to the economy.

CSC would just change hands between players. It wouldn't become more available, and I seriously doubt the prices would go down at all. In fact, I would argue that this change would make CSC more influential, and sP would suffer even more. (Why buy and sell at sP prices at all when you can use CSC?)

It's not that simple. So you've got some items that you'd like to sell for CSC, but I'm not convinced that user shops are the best avenue for that. We can make changes to the trading system to enable faster CSC trades.
If we enabled selling items for CSC in the user shops, users would just sell things for CSC. Any item that has any significant value would just be sold for CSC instead of sP, taking Subeta entirely out of a free site, and make it 100% pay to play.
I'm not really sure I understand your last point, if we let users price things for CSC there is no additional CSC in the system, it just gets passed around from users (much like sP now). And if that user spends it on something in the cash shop (or a CW shop where subeta gets a cut) then it's removed from the system. Allowing users to charge CSC in their user shops doesn't do anything to increase the amount of CSC in the system.
So, unfortunately I have to disagree with you. Some users would like it, but for the most part it'd ensure that a huge chunk of items are only ever sold for CSC removing a lot of users ability to get those items from the system, even more so than they are now.

We can already buy items with CSC via trades. What might happen if we make shops with CSC is that items start to only be asked for in CSC, which would actually drive up prices of CSC, not lower them. This would really make CSC necessary for even non cash shop items if all items were allowed in the CSC shops, and requiring CSC would just make this site pay to play. Limiting it to CWs I would support, anything more and I think trades are sufficient.
I just would like to see it in trades not shops.
