So...my friend died of a heart attack that could have easily be prevented, or treated, or operated, or...whatever. But he had no money and me neither...I am aware that money isn't everything...but how come I feel as if it is? If right now I'd had a real sum, like a million dollars, I'd go at a clinic or a shelter and do some good...This is my dream. I'm actually kinda dreaming out loud here...still...I kinda feel like crap right now, such a looser, a big zero, like my bank account...:/

Money is what drives me in life (along with ambition, kindness and freedom). I come from a single-parent family and sometimes, we have to cut in certain things. I'm not dirt poor but my mother and I are often stuck to use our credit card (and she's terrible at control where I don't). I go to college with bursaries and loans. You're not a zero. The society is driving us insane with money tbh. @ MarchOnOff

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. I know it seems like money can be everything sometimes, but really try to remember that it's not. It's important of course, but it's not your, or anyone's lifeblood. If you have time, I would definitely look into volunteering somewhere like at a clinic, or an animal shelter, or whatever suits your fancy. I know people at places like that are always looking for extra help, and even though it's not paid work, it definitely feels good to know you're helping out and making at least a little bit of a difference. I know many organizations would not be able to function without volunteers.

Same here, single parent, raised by my mom, so I'm sorry to hear you're struggling too, but yes, it is very true, society is driving us insane...thanks for understanding :)

Thank you for the great advice, I do a bit of volunteer work at my local animal shelter, it is what keeps me sane...well, almost ;)

Thanks for answering and helping, guys, I'm glad Subeta has people like you around ❤

Your time and how you spend it is infinitely more precious than money. Especially considering some organizations spend their donated money in shady ways, it's really more wise/helpful to ensure what you give is making a direct impact and has a human face to it. It's good to know you're doing good for your community. :)

first of all, i'm so sorry for your loss. my father is prone to heart attacks, and it's a very scary feeling. it's amazing that you would want to help people out who are very sick if you had that type of money. maybe it could be a long term goal for you to save up your money, and maybe find a new research for medicine!
