Heyy! I'm interested in getting into restocking and I was wondering if there was a beginners guide or something, some good items to look out for and some general advise with restocking like when certain shops restock ect.
On another site I was really good at restocking but the shops restocked every 5 minutes exactly (0-5, 1-6 ect) so it was really easy to tell when the shops were going to restock.

I've moved this over to General Discussion since it's not a brag or complaint about restocking.
Well, in the beginning it's always a bit harder. The easiest shops to start with are IMO the Trading Card Center and Spells Galore. Have shop search open in another tab and copy/paste the item name before purchasing. (for the TCGs the colors help a lot ;) and Maleria asks for SG items, so those sell well when she's WSQ) subetalodge.org helps a lot to get to know the stock of a shop :3 If you try to complete "collections" (plushies, beanbags, stickers, cards, minions, books) you will know sooner or later which items are expensive and worth to restock. New items are also a good idea, but low rarity items will drop in price quite fast, especially when they can be vended.
Buy low, sell high.
It's really pretty much that easy. Restocks are not on the dot, it might be easiest to either do quests and keep an eye on item values and try to get used to what's worth how much, or just shop through the stores and keep a tab open to shop search so you can cross-reference and learn that way.
It's really just a familiarity with values, rarities, and also depends on your restocking style. There's no one way to restock.
I agree with what the above users advised you. There are several types of restocking, and I'm sure I'm not the best restocker out there to know about all of them, but here's my two cents anyway: If you go for high profit: Start with subetalodge.org and search for items in the range of 90-99 first. Go with one or two shops when you begin so that you memorise items more quickly. There are certain items in this range that are worth millions, many are located in the Spell Galore and Apocalyptic Apothecary. Other shops have items worth millions of sP too, and often they're achievement items and newly released, so keep watch on the news to see what items are needed for the next achievements or are freshly introduced into each shop (these items have shorter worth life than high end potions, stat boosters and scroll ingredients though, so you'll need to sell them off while they're hot to get the most out of them). I wouldn't start with A.A. at first, because apart from the high-end potions and stat boosters the other elixirs are not worth much nowadays compared to in the past. That is not to mention the competition there is often very high. However once you're comfortable with RS, you can stalk this shop too.
If you provide stocks for questers These items have much lower worth than high-end, new or inflated items due to achievements. Most rare to super rare items required for questing, especially Carl, Library and Saggi quests can bring you something between 20k-60k in profit per piece, so if you do these quests regularly you'll learn what those items are and then you can check on subetalodge for where they stock.
If you're a reseller: Resellers buy items at a low price and resell them at a higher price, maybe at a much later date. A useful forum for this is the Advertising forum where sometimes you can snag a really good deal with people selling their stuff for 40-70% less than the current shop search price. However you should have the gut instinct and experience to tell between hard to sell and easy to sell items, or items that are going to deflate soon. Learning about Subetan holidays and events might help too, apart from keeping an eye out for changes in questing patterns. Last year around Morostide someone bought up all the Dark X Potions and Pylonics that were for sale in user shops at a much lower prices, and set them at a staggering higher price. Both battlers and questers had a difficult time adjusting to the abrupt change back then because it was when Morostide challengers were released and those potions and pylonics were in high demand (that person sold out on approximately 3,000 of each type of Dark X potions in less than two weeks, making an average profit of 60-75mil for each batch, just so you've got an idea of how much they earned). The effect has not even subsided even today. When it was New Year this year when quests gave out retired items from the past, someone commented on the forum that they made billions just selling a certain type of items that were in high demand then, so the key to this type of RS is accepting that you would lose out on profit for now but will earn double and triple during prime time. Recycler Beast also asks for junk items that can be bought cheap and resold at a slightly higher prices. Just keep watch on at what point people stop buying for their RB needs and you can get an idea how much you should price your junk items.
So long story short, there are a few things that I find extra helpful while RS: [li]Learn shop ids by heart so you can switch between different shops more quickly [li]Memorise the approximate location of the items you're targeting on a shop page [li]Choose the type of RS that suits your play style and your time allowance [li]And the most important thing: patience pays off nicely, especially when it comes to restocking for a certain time or event.
Best of luck getting your way around ^^
