I've just started getting into battling the last few months. How exactly do blasters work? I have the recycle beast blaster, but every time I use it it says something along the lines of "Wow it hits your opponent's weapon and now it's brand new", Is it even worth having, or is there a better blaster out there, or do I even need a blaster at all?

blasters work by turning an enemy's weapon into a useless weapon. some people swear by them, some hardly use em, depends on your battling style and the opponent, some opponents have a ton of weapons so it wont make much of a difference.

the key is on enemies with few weapons, every time they use the junk item its half damage to you that turn, that extra round sporatically thrown in giving a chance to heal can often times be a life saver.

as best i remember there are 3 blaster type items, blackmoon hand blaster, recycle blaster and soma tablets. you cannot equipt the bhb and soma tablets at the same time but either of them can be equipt with the recycle blaster.

blackmoon hand blaster turns an enemies weapon into a one time use weapon so its not as useful, it does get rid of an enemies weapon and does give 1 turn where the enemy wastes an attack but the other two turn weapons into infinite use junk, the delema is of course soma tablets are a lot more expensive.

worth owning yes, useful for every enemy no. the difference between success and failure for certain enemies? often times yes.

also has a blasting proc, making it the only multi use blaster - though it is not reliable at all.

Only the recycle blaster blasts your opponent's weapon into an infinite use recycled wad, I think the somas create only opb pillbox or are at least semi breakable

the empty pillbox is infinite use.
