I ordered one of my pets to be engineered into the steamwork color the other day, and forgot when exactly that was. It'd be pretty useful if when we visit Full Steam Ahead after ordering a steamwork pet, there was some sort of bar or indication for how close to completion the pet is. Isaac could even have some randomized flavor text or dialogue depending on what day of the completion cycle you're in, like, "We have completed the base skeleton--would this be the steamwork version of a pet from Shadowglen? I am not sure!" for the first day, or "The finishing touches are almost complete! Once we shine your pet up and insert the Yunium Key, you two can head home" for the last day.
Aside from adding some personality to Isaac and lore to the world, it would also work as a reminder for when you can expect your pet to be finished--and confirmation in case anything went wrong when you initially ordered the pet. That was my fear, since my internet was acting pretty moody that night, haha! I don't expect that the bar needs to be tremendously accurate, unless the three-day completion cycle is actually a 72 hour cycle instead, if that makes sense.
Considering the number of threads I see on the forum asking about this, this would probably be a really good idea.

I agree.
If not a full progress bar with all of that, there at least needs to be some sort of indication that the order was accepted properly and is currently in progress. Right now, the screen just goes back to the default place your order screen with nothing about any current orders which can be confusing.
I thought you got an event after you place your order?
Not that I'm against the progress bar or something acknowledging that they are building a pet for you, but I thought there was notification of some kind (because it says it'll be ready in three days?).

There is an event once your pet is finished, but not one for immediately after you place the order just to confirm you did, iirc.
We do see a lot of question threads about this. It's an expensive color, so a little anxiety about it is expected too, I think.
Putting a progress bar in sorta removes the fun roleplay of it though. I think of it more like you're chivvying your contractor about your kitchen remodeling or your pool boy about all those leaves when you know perfectly well the tree keeps dropping them. Yes, it'll get done and they are working on it but it's a real life project and exact times are not really predictable. I prefer some clank-y flavor text saying that:
they're working on it jeez/awaiting some parts from next shuttle from Centropolis/a Terseo infestation shut everything down yesterday but they haven't forgotten you/some dude with a fez kept on popping in from nowhere and interrupting Garrett/they got a sudden but very lucrative contract from Ziara Ladies and you'll just have to wait etc.
