I often find myself going over the 5 (6 with a GA) limit ;_; esp in the face area. I would LOVE if there was some way to increase this limit. I think it'd be a great SP sink too. Maybe make it so with each additional layer after the 5 or 6th, the price doubles then doubles again and so on.

If it doesn't cause too much server strain or anything, I think it's a good idea.

For me, only the face layer presents this problem. Rather than increasing the max I would prefer adding a section - divide the face into two layers, one for basic facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) the other for makeup, glasses, tattoos.

that sounds like the best idea to me, tbh. it would also help with searching for items in the face layer bc sometimes i just need a pair of eyes but since not every eye item has the word 'eye' in the name i have to trawl through pages and pages of masks, makeup, face paint, mouths, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyelashes, eyebrows, and i'm like damn man i just want a pair of eyeballs. ideally i would like individual layers for eyes and mouths separately, but this would be fine too if that's too much. and it would definitely help the issue of exceeding the layer limit bc there have been so many times where i've had to diminish the look i'm going for because i just don't have enough layers to wear the two eyeshadows, two eyes, eyeliner, and two lipsticks.

I agree with this, I max out super quick on the face layer. There's the basic face, and then additional stuff like make up etc, it doesn't make sense for it to all be on the same layer o.O

I also max out on the head/hat layers ahaha because I love layering hairclips/bows etc.

I only very rarely go over the limit of 6 items per layer (and only on the face). But since not everyone can get to 6 in the first place, I could maybe see increasing it to 7 items/8 with a GA instead, if it won't strain the servers. I'd really prefer the face items not be split into different categories though

I'm adding my agreement to this idea as well, especially when it comes to the face layer. I really like the suggestion of splitting the face items into separate layers so that eyes, lips, etc. are on their own layer away from the miscellaneous face items like masks and makeup. The face layer is so big right now, that would be a huge help.

On the same note, the head layer is also very large. I wouldn't mind seeing the same type of things implemented there so that all the wigs were in one layer (head) and all the various hats and headpieces that are in there got moved over to the hat layer. That would be helpful too since so many things got shoved in the head layer instead of the hat layer.
