(I'll make this pretty later)
Alright.. Soo, I've been on this site for a year and five months now, a little over that. And I've never seemed to have enough money on here, (I'm probably just really bad at the game??) So I thought "Hey! I could sell my art!"
Well. Long story short, I checked out the other.. Say, competition, And I'm screwed. And I'm nervous.
In other words, I don't know if anybody will want my art.
If anybody could be super helpful, and help price my art so I can get an idea on where to start before I improve, it would really motivate me to get this shop up and running.
Here are some examples of a style I've been doing lately: •http://oi66.tinypic.com/r1ge36.jpg •http://oi66.tinypic.com/30idpud.jpg •http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=uW4M4OjFxsb02NDKezyuLoh4l5k2TGxc#.V3_7svRHbCQ •http://oi63.tinypic.com/29mrj1i.jpg
I really don't know. I'm nervous now. I really wanna draw for this community but I don't know if my art is up to par yet.
Hi, and welcome to the art market! Your art is super cute and you'll have no problem selling it. For pricing, if you want to, you could do a "Name your own price" thing, but have a minimum price set, such as 5 mil. Then after a few sales, you can establish a set price.
If you're looking for some adorable art,you should check out!

Hello! If you need help on pricing your art, users can help you on the Pricing Assistance & Suggestions forum :D Oh also, I can't see the first two examples of your art (though I don't know if it's just me). You can try using imgur C:
I think this topic belongs to the Pricing Assistance & Suggestions forum, right? o:
Yep, thanks. moving there now.
.
moving to the pricing assistance forum. :)
Thank you so much! That's actually a really good idea and I'm going to try it. Also thank you for the little shoutout<3
Your art is so cute and colorful! I wouldn't sweat the competition--everyone's got their own style and preferences, and I think your art won't have a problem attracting customers, especially since you do furries/anthro and humans.
For a fullbody piece like your last example of the human, I think it's worth AT LEAST 30mil sP. The conversion rate fluctuates, but I'm still going by $1 USD = 100 CSC = 10mil sP.
You can always adjust your prices, too! If you don't feel like you're getting enough customers, then lower your prices a bit, and vice versa. Although, you should also consider what's "worth it" to you. Do you want to draw a fullbody piece for 10mil? Don't underprice yourself just because you don't think your art is up to par!
I hope I didn't ramble too much... Good luck with your future commissions! u
How long do you think I should wait to see if I need to lower my prices? I posted my art shop yesterday and nobody is biting but that's surely not enough time, right? Also, thank you<3
Hmmm... I'm not sure tbh. Subeta's forums are kind of slow. Maybe if your thread falls off the first page? I don't actually frequent the forums enough to know how often people post/view threads. OTL Maybe wait a week or two??
You could also start a little lower and then raise your prices as you get more commissions. I've seen people do this so that they can get more art examples, confidence, rep, etc.
Or you can try posting in threads where people are buying! If people don't come to you, try going to them. ovo7
On another note, I'd suggest adding a signature or a forum image to your posts. If you post around Subeta often, you'll be advertising your art and shop. Plus, your forum image/sig will be one of the first things people see when they go to your art shop, especially since your style is so colorful and eye-catching.
Very true!! Thank you so much for the advice once again<3
Hi! I'm interested if you draw dragons too. Thank you! :)
